I still don't understand this concern though. I mean, these things are going to be very rare. And it's not
like they run wild picking up blocks and moving them left and right.
I'm guessing the worst anyone would ever have to worry about (if they can even move placed blocks) is occasionally replacing a single block or two on a structure.
Woopity doo. Fair tradeoff for an interesting new mob.
people who say they arent dangerous picture this enderman spawner:O
A mob spawner that spawns mobs that aren't hostile unless a certain, easily avoidable condition is fulfilled. The horror!
Endermen mob spawners would be easy to thwart, and probably easy to rapid-mine. I mean, place a block of water and whatever they drop is yours for the taking. Forever.
Guys... Brightness isn't what makes it easy to see. You're thinking of contrast, or gamma, which is how different the brights and the darks are in relation to each other.
Brightness is just that: It brightens or darkens EVERYTHING, which does practically nothing.
ON TOPIC: Because they teleport. Of course they're not dangerous at all if you don't engage them. Is that what you're talking about? Because it looks as though you'd have serious issues actually trying to kill one if you DID engage it (eg. They teleport behind you).
Minecraft is not dangerous, all you have to do is not play it.
I think endermen will surprise a lot of people though, they don't look so easy to see in darkness and once you do make the mistake of looking at one that's when you will realise you should never look at one again because currently it looks almost impossible to kill them once they attack you on single player because of the teleporting thing. Water only burns them, it doesn't insta kill from what I saw on the videos from that event thing.
Danger is what you make of it, a knife can be used for buttering your bread or it can be used to stab someone. Bit of a lame comparison but hopefully you get my point.
how to kill an endermen that is the best way:)
but seriously im not sure if i consider them a danger i meen they can tp but hey die by water so u just dig a moat aroumd your house and its almost endermen proof ill have to wait and see.
Well that used to work. But you can't just put down TNT really fast anymore. yo uhave to place the TNT then rig it up with redstone r light it on fire. Panic TNT is dead :sad.gif:

Not exactly, you can still put down a tnt and light it up with Flint & Steel or just put a redstone torch next to it...
They aren't very rare atm. They will catch fire in sunlight so that does help.
When you try to hit them they sometimes tele behind you
ALSO they drop ender pearls, no idea what they do though...
Acaully it hasnt be confermed if they catch fire in sunlight.
also
Enderpearls? seriously? who invented that? where did you read it? there is no proof that they drop that.
Okay, well you're right, they are pretty easy to avoid if you pay attention. HOWEVER, you land your cross-hairs you are screwed for the most part. This is why, you put your cross-hairs on them and walk up to it and hit it once. It bounces out of your cross-hairs and teleports behind you! You turn around quickly and try to hit him, but it has already teleported again. Also, while this is happening, creapers and spiders could be coming for you, but you can't mess with them until you kill the Enderman. I've played the pre-release, they are scary.

Look up "Endermen gameplay" on Youtube. I've seen them in a bunch of videos.
They aren't scary though. I think the way they teleport kind of makes them boring. I think if it screamed and started sprinting directly towards the player with the ability to go through walls, THAT would be panic-inducing. Especially if you saw their arms flailing violently as they have absolutely nothing else on their minds except beating you to death.
FF to 5:50 of this video to see what I'm talking about:
Imagine the Zuni Doll the Endermen...and they will do everything they can to get to you and kill you. :smile.gif:
the endermen are the hardest enough at melee except for creeper.
They hit u, then tp arround u constantly and keep hitting u, its like in naruto (i dont watch it anymore) when lee goes break seal and ****ing hits gaara 50 times on all sides

Ender pearls? What? You might be referring to the fact that the Endermen drop diamonds (which will obviously be changed).

Water doesn't kill them instantly.
Water is not everywhere.
They deal explosion-like damage in 1 hit without commiting suicide making it the most damaging mob yet.
Not exactly, you can still put down a tnt and light it up with Flint & Steel or just put a redstone torch next to it...
Sssssscore!
