It needs no sand and I think the grass should be darker than normal grass when it grows in the swamp or just make mud blocks. The water should be muddy or green and there should be lilly pads. I like the idea of lots of fog too.
1. the water should be like the grass in different biomes ,it should change the color , adding more green will make it better.
2. Less trees.
3. Deeper water.
4. more mushrooms.
And hey , do you see that.. at that side , behind the tree , at the green part , there is an NPC holding a rocket launcher.
Its a swamp. Why would it have deeper water? :cool.gif:
How would the mud block work? some people say liquid, some say solid that's kinda like soul sand. Personally, in my mind it takes qualities of soul sand, clay, and ice. it slows you down, you can mine it with a shovel for four mud balls (more on that below) and it would leave behind a block of water.
The mud blocks you could craft together in a 3x3 grid, with a bucket of water, to get a fully functioning mud block back.
it may or may not fall like sand. idk. I think it'd be funny if it could hand in the air.

As someone who lives in Florida, I can attest to swamps. There needs to be small tiny blobs of grass, with dirt blogs surrounding the water. It should be patchy with the water and land, no more than 15 or so blocks of one type together. The trees should have leaves that go out more horizontally and there should be an overworld equialent of soul sand, for the muck that usually surrounds the bogs.
The grass needs a slight rework. It is too green and lush.
It should have a bit more brown in it, but not look liek its dying.
I think it would also be nice if the grass growing code did nto cover every bit of dirt in a swap so there were both grass and dirt patches.
It still needs to have a green/brownish fog tint. Sorta like how the nether has a red one.
If he could just do that, we could easily find our own swampy-texture pack to use.

I think there should be things like mud and lilipads. The mud can make you sink when you walk in it, if you stay in it for, say, 15 seconds, you'll be sunken into the block to the point that you begin suffocating. As for lilipads, they should spawn at only the top of the water, and can only be placed at the top of the water. It acts like a normal block when you step on it, so it'd be kind of like floating stepping stones.
I've been to Louisiana, and based on my experience, I would:
-Much larger trees with no leaves, and possibly mossy logs
-less land, more water
-green-ish tinted water
-more mushrooms
-large trees growing out of the water
hmm well i would start with some abieant like frogs hopping around perhaps darker grass maby some swampy (awaaaaayy!) sounds like croaking trees creaking swampy bubbling.. i could go on but then the swamp would be much too crowded!
I think it should have tall trees blocking the sunlight except for the river or w/e. Green fog isn't a bad idea and I think it would be better if the water can turn green in certain areas and some parts, the dirt might be muddy enough it acts like soul sand.
I know it's dirty, but already it looks a lot more swamp-like. (The purple dots are just because I was too lazy to take them out).

Change the grass to brown and it's perfect.

Swamps aren't necessarily foggy. A quick google search is helpful.
but changing the water color is so silly
i suggest big dark-green leaves that float on water.
we could think of snow
but works on water blocks only
