I'm going to shelter in a NPC Village probably first. Then when I get enough supplies I will raid the village and take anything useful. Then I will set down my mansion base and keep getting supplies to finish it. Then i will mine for a good amount of diamond or iron. After that I might remake my wheat farm and get a abundance of bread. After i have diamond armour, diamond sword, a bow with arrows, 2 stacks of bread, 64 cobblestone and a bed, I will finally go exploring.
move my worlds except for 2 or 3 worlds to a folder and then make 2 worlds, one for creative and another for survival, then i will just play like i have never played before.
I used a minecraft tool to teleport myself around 12,000 meters from my base about a week ago. I figure I will still be building a rail line home when 1.8 comes out so I will get to see lots of new stuff on the way.
So my plans for 1.8 are easy: explore, harvest needed materials for the rail line (glass, cobble, iron, gold), build more rail line, repeat as needed. Assuming I don't die when I am too far from my bed that is. That would suck. :smile.gif:

3. Gasp at the 'Would you like to update?' page and eagerly select 'Yes'
4. Wait as it updates
5. Gaze in awe at the magnificent world the title screen displays
6. Make a creative world and screw around with the new blocks
7. Make a survival world afterwards and do the routine*. * = collect wood, build house, etc.
8. Craft myself a bow and arrow

10. Ready, aim, fire at enemies at night
