wow, that was a good joke. did you want a cookie for being that special?
No offence to JJAB, but cmon man, its fair enough for us to get shitty when we have heaps of people such as yourself that decide
that it will be okay to start a whole new thread to ask something when there is a way to find out if it has been asked before.

Get out there, kick the clutch, catch that rear end, and feel it.
To the OP: first result in google for 'when does minecraft 1.8 come out' gives you as much info as anyone has.
To the assholes being assholes: stop being assholes. Even if this could have been answered by google, it's no reason to be asshats to the OP.
Yes it is.
If you can be just as smart as me by using a search engine- which is NOT hard by any means, yields results FASTER than asking me, and doesn't bother ANYONE AT ALL- why should I refrain from letting OP know just how ****ing annoying he's being by starting more stupid threads?

1. It bumps the thread thus making you responsible for further annoyance of other people.
2. People ask dumb things. It happens. It even happens int he real world. Yeah, it's annoying. You know what's more annoying though? Having to listen to people **** all over someone who asked a dumb question.
3. It often hampers the desired outcome. When you link http://lmgtfy.com/, they say to themselves, "wow, yeah, I should have googled that" When you say "ZOMG JUST KILL URSELF" they say to themselves, "wow, that guy has issues"
4. You also could have googled, 'why should you be civil online'. The third result gets into the philosophy of civil/ethical behavior. Ah, delicious irony.

This guy is just enforcing the rule about not making multiple about the exact same thing.
Late september? Isn't going to be first released at the minecon, the bugs will be fixed then it'll come to us?
Mojang will get feedback from PAX on the new update in a few days, tweak it and fix bugs then release it early to mid-September. At MineCon, Notch is launching the game out of Beta and into the 'full version'.

/Thread.
Notch demos it in PAX, then he releases 1.8 after addressing feedback when the event is over.
Yes, give it to me now.

Seems legit.
