This is for discussion of how to safely "stare" at the Enderman.
It's already rumored wearing a pumpkin may do.
As you probably already know: If you stare directly at an Enderman, he will charge as you turn around.
Obviously they shouldn't chase you if you point towards them with some non-see-thru' blocks between you and him, but what would happen if you stare out of the glass window in your house? Would he not mind or charge? :huh.gif:
Also, stairs for example are considered transparent blocks (you can put them on top of a chest and still be able to open it). I hope this doesn't mean the enderman will attack if you "look at him" through your roof of stairs?
So what do you think would happen if you look at him through glass, leafs, fence and doors? :wink.gif:

Thats not true,if you stare at them, and they stare back at you, they do nothing. :ohmy.gif:
If you move while their staring at you, then they will start to run towards you,or teleport :tongue.gif:

Screaming "Already Suggested" at a common idea is tantamount to spam. Yes, you heard me right. Do not state "already suggested" unless you have another one to reference.

They might be able to be watched if you wear a pumpkin.
What worries me is I have a balcony on my house, with no walls or roof. Just a platform and a fence. They could easily see me and teleport... Maybe I should add glass anyway.

I use different worlds to be on Hostile or Peaceful. My main world is a Peaceful, and I have side "Hostile" ones. I haven't really cared to do anything but mess with Single Player Commands and TooManyItems on the Hostile one. :tongue.gif:
EDIT: I know what you're saying though. A fishing pier I have has fence balcony. That could be bad...

If I try to fail and I succeed, what did I really do?
"Well, I'm off to enjoy the last ten minutes of my annual hour-long vacation. When I left the pigeons I had already managed to split them into warring factions and planted seeds of doubt about the capabilities of their pigeon leaders, so I'm interested to see how things play out once I take away all of their bread." ~The Administrator of TF2, after scolding cheaters.

No, this was changed and they now attack right away when you look at them.

I will make a special containment facility for them. They must be studied.
