Enchantments are ment to be have benefits! They already took the silk touch effect on ice and spawners, now people want to nerf fortune? Then thats going to make enchanting even more worthless: leveling and grinding mobs to get... a few worthless enchants, naw man im good w that.
But Look what about people who want tracks? They need a lot of iron so now its good for them.
I think we need a new ore just for doing tracks or maybe pistons... It would be common like iron now, and Iron would be just for weapons, armor and items.
That's the #1 excuse, and they did have tracks in alpha.
That's like saying, " I love making giant sticky piston mob collectors," then asking for slimes to spawn on the surface. Asking for more spawn on something when it isn't a necessity makes no sense to me. That's just making a game too easy for the majority when the minority wants something.
And hard in some aspects (Diamonds are ****ing hard to find.)
Not really. Before, you had to mine for diamonds. Now, there's usually a way to reach diamonds from the surface, and also, diamonds can be found in several other locations (villages, mineshafts, strongholds).
Well, I can understand when people say caves make mining easier, but I can never mine in ravines. Maybe if I'm at the bottom but spending time on the side trying to climb around is a pain. I also found out how big abandoned mineshafts are:
There's always a ton of ore in those too. I found the part of the code that makes caves, decreased cave generation and I can say it didn't make a difference in spawning. I read a couple of places(even in this thread) where people mention it's based on chunks. Basically, the more areas you light up, the less areas you are giving the mobs. However, that's all it does, the mobs from those spots simply don't spawn instead of collecting in unlighted areas.
I loved back then when enemies would constantly kick my ass, I loved it when I yelled in joy when I found iron, and I loved it when I fought to survive and keep my armor's durability up, and finally, I loved the nerdgasmic moment of finding diamonds!, now when I dig a mineshaft going straight in any direction at level 12 I find tonnes of diamonds. I liked the mob and ore spawning mechanics back then, and combining that with the features of right now would make minecraft that much more awesome.

I totally agree, except keeping up armor. It's not that I couldn't find enough supplies to make more, it's that I'm used to games where I equip things with no durability. I really feel they need to take away a lot of the weaknesses (enderman with water/sunlight, spiders being neutral with light near them) and make it where most things can kill you in 2 hits if you have no armor. I noticed when I get my ass kicked I don't freak out, it just makes me laugh because I got super-owned. Of course, that doesn't happen anymore though. x_x
Sigh, I miss my 1.5! So "minecrafty". I miss 1.6.6! Iron was respected but and I had mines that streteched thousands of blocks and I came across few caves. I do not miss 1.8! Stupid undiscoverable dungeons, strongholds, and stupid caves never ending! They need to end this madness! Go for the old!
It would of been a lot more fun if they changed the torches to a limited light source making lanterns the unlimited light source which was intended for the Halloween update

I think that would have been a nice change of pace.
I don't recall saying these should be nerfed.
Tedious change:
Double health of all mobs.
Challenging change:
Double the damage of all mobs.
Just consider that some things will simply make the game tedious, rather than challenging.

NVM I thinki missunderstood what you said

Could you PM me that part of the code, please? I want to see how the game deals with that.
Unless that's somehow against forum rules or something.
This would of been my favorite Minecraft update.
