1. Cats are easier to tame. When holding a fish they no longer run away from you and you may approach them.
2. Cats can sit now.
3. Cats drive away creepers. The creepers will approach to attack but will not come within around 7 blocks of a cat so if you keep your cat close your safe. The creeper has to be able to see the cats. Hiding cats in your floor or walls won't work.
4. All new mobs run on the better AI including creepers.
5.Villagers will open doors to enter or leave homes. A spawned villager refuses to leave my house and keeps opening doors to move between rooms. Yes they close the door behind them.
I have already tested all of these. I will post more changes as they are discovered.

I think I've found a new bug - when a cat is in stalking mode, its head and legs are very oddly positioned (they appear to be too far forward). Its head and front paws are actually completely separate from the body altogether! Anyone else seeing this?
I liked hwo you had to be quit in order to tame them.
Me too. :/ It made it so much more rewarding when a cat was finally tamed. It wasn't *too* difficult either - after I got the hang of it, I managed to tame fifteen of them!
Cats kept getting blown up and I didn't know what the creeper's weakness was yet. I thought cats would avoid creepers but I guess it's the other way around.
Works for me.
No, it was balanced, the cat could be considered one of the most powerful mobs as it scares the creepers, ,now the cat is just another wolf... :sad.gif:
All the adventure, all that hunter feel when you were trying to catch one is completely gone...
The way they are hunted to be catched was the most unique thing in this game, now...
So, um... The ocelots still run away if you make a move. They only walk up to you if you're standing still,
and you have raw fish in your hand. I don't understand how this is much different from the last snapshot.
i think as long as your holding a raw fish you can walk up to them without them running. not holding a fish will make them flee.
Yeah, I thought that's what people meant,
but even if I have raw fish in my hand, they run away as long as I'm moving.
I don't think much has changed. I just can't figure out how to HEAL them.
Oh good cats are easier to tame now. It was so hard to tame them before. And maybe for a creeper proof house dig 2 blocks down then put cats in the holes then cover up the holes? Or do th e creepers have to see the cats?
Just tested. The creeper has to be able to see the cats. Hiding cats in your floor or walls won't work.

Something I find overlooked is the wolf path finding. Currently they are dumber than a box of rocks. It took me about ten minutes to get one wolf into my underground pen. Sheesh...

Agreed, it was nice to have a timid animal in the game, especially since they keep creepers away...which seems overpowered to me
