I would still like monkeys in the jungle along with ocelots.
They shouldn't be tamable, though. I think there should be an absolute maximum of one tamable mob per biome (and even that's a lot.)
Monkeys would spawn on those huge trees, climbing around and jumping up and down on the vines. They can climb jungle logs and leaves like ladders.
Occasionally they could come down to the forest floor and scrounge around a little bit, retreating back up to the nearest tree if the player comes near.
They should drop a lot of different kinds of jungle fruit when killed.
Other jungle mobs that would be interesting:
Venus Flytrap, hostile ground mob- rooted to a single spot, spawns in crowded underbrush.
Giant Wasp, hostile flying mob- patrols around at roughly half the height of the giant trees, will swoop down and fire stingers if the player gets too near

Exactly what I had in mind for a non tameable mob. Nail on the head, even though I still would like it to be tameable.

I agree on the Venus Flytrap if it drops potion ingredients to make a new potion.
Paralysis, Blindness, Dizziness?
I don't think I'd want a Giant Wasp... The idea just seems odd.

Could have had an animal different from all the other mobs.
Instead we just get another wolf re-skinned to look like a cat. Awesome.
