Can't you just use a piston to push the mobs so they don't get stuck inside each other. All I see here is a bunch of things that can be overcome by some thought and simple design.
Here is my design for a wall mounted zombie dispenser.
When the player steps on the pressure plate, the sticky piston retracts and the dispenser will then spawn a zombie into the wall with its head occuping the space where the retracted block was, so that it doesn't suffocate. (NOTE: there is a delayer leading to the dispenser in case you can't see that.)
when the player then steps of the pressure plate, the zombie, if it is still in the wall, will be pushed out into the corridor.
Suprise zombie!
A better redstone technician than I could make the piston push the zombie out right away, rather than when the player steps off the plate. but this was just a quick prototype anyway :smile.gif:
I dont remember if mobs still bounce you back when you touch them, but if they do, when they are stacked like that the effect is additive.
In other words if you touch them when theyre like that you get pushed 1000000 blocks.
It was possible before using water to let them swim into eachother, a user called Etho showed it in his LP, youtube chanel Ethoslab. He called it "warp drive" or something.
Seriously?! Throw them in the oven & cook the b*tches. An Egg's an Egg man... An Egg wasted is an Egg lost... Forever. Yeah, I like Eggs, big whoop, wanna fight about it?
Result:
The spiders got stuck and suffocated. Endermen flew around randomly.
Derp.
Hope you liked it!
...But that's just my opinion.

2- Don't use them if you don't want to.

They follow normal despawning behaviour. So passive mobs won't, but hostiles will as normal.
