Hello, here are my observations of the bow enchantments so far. I am supremely happy with this update. Feel free to add anything I have missed.
First, a video that covers most of the enchantments if you want to see them in action:
And now the write up:
There are four enchantments I have observed: Power, Punch, Infinity, and Flame
Power: Levels I, II, III, IV, and V
Increases power of the bow. With Power V, one hit kills are very frequent.
Punch: Levels I, II, and III
Similar to knockback on a sword. Pushes mobs away.
Infinity: Level I
Originally, I thought it increased the range of your arrows, but it seems to make arrows infinite. For example, if you any arrows in your inventory, you will be able to fire, and none of your arrows will disappear from your inventory.
Flame: Level I
Your arrow is on fire, and it sets entities on fire on contact. I like it because it acts kinda like a tracer round. It's easier to see where your shots go.
Also I've noticed enchantment tables are less random now. This makes me happy. :smile.gif: Thanks for reading.
I tought Infinite would make a chance of not using an arrow when you fire, but you can simply fire arrows until the bow breaks. With a bow with Power II and Infinite I i went to kill th eenderdragon without any problems taking my bow to half of its damage (yeah i suck aiming at high objectives, principally the highest crystals.
Jeb should change infinite enchantment so its a chance of not wasting an arrow and add more levels.
For pucnh enchant i dont think ill use it ever. I usually tend to use melee mobs as "flesh shields" agains other meleee mobs and skeletons so theres no reason to kick them away.

Check out the video for some visuals.
Yeah I noticed that with a level 13 I only got power II
Do you think that 13 is a high level? You need to go 35+ from what I have observed to get anything better than power.
TMDR Rules!!!
But I'd be interested in one that adds more uses to it, or a straight-line effect enchantment. (Arrows fly w/o gravity for like 20-30 blocks)
