I love the new super flatland idea. It is a great way to have fun in creative mode. But there are a few features that are extremely annoying.
1) Slimes spawn in any chunk, and I can't keep them under control.
I thought since spawner eggs were added, I would make a Minecraft zoo. But I can't expand my zoo at all, because every time a travel too far away, I come back to see a gang of slimes in my creeper cage. This is extremely frustrating.
2) The map is only three layers deep?
I know flatland is made primarily for creative mode, but it would be nice to have the option to create some underground structures and expand downward, not just sideways and up.
3) Lack of survival resemblances?
Again, I know flatland is made for creative. But can't there be a few trees every once in a while? Some coal, iron, etc? This is less of an annoyance and more of a request, but it would still be nice to have.

2. Yeah, as it's meant to allow you to free form build, including TALL buildings. How many large builds have you seen where they have to lower the ground to build it anyway? So yeah they made the ground that low.
3. Want trees? Plant your own. This is just ment for creative building. This pretty much replaces the need of ALLLLLL these flat land maps that are out there.

if you able to find a village (yes they spawn on super flat, i have found them) you can get saplings from a a chest at a the forge. plus you can get diamonds. you can also get obsidian from them so you may be able to go to the nether if you find enough villages.

Trees wasn't meant to be in super-flat for 2 reasons:
1 it doesn't make it *flat* and then it takes more time cutting down trees.
2 plus super-flat was for creative.

1. I can understand the slime argument, but i still think you'd be better of just playing on peaceful. Or better yet - making spawn eggs work on peacefull.

3. Sorry but this argument is just bull. flatland is made for creative, and not for survival. If you want trees in it, just make them in creative/invedit.
One I have flown around on a flat land map. I have a mod that has been updated already that marks for me slime chunks. They only spawn in said chunks then WONDER AROUND because there is nthing there to stop them. again, PLAY ON PEACEFUL.

Mobs DESPAWN anyway if you get to far or they do not find someone to agro onto after X amount of time. Is that such a hard concept? Flatland is meant, is DESIGNED for use in CREATIVE or use of some building mods like SPC/TMI to allow people a clean flat area with NO TREES in their way to design and build out TALL BUILDS if they so want, not to 'play with mobs'.
Also yes having the land at normal height WOULD hurt a lot of us (and ME) who like to build BIG, this saves a lot of time then having to use world edit or MC edit to lower a large area to build in. a 'box in the ground' something that is rather ugly when you get down to it.
This again saves us the need to download a pre made flat land map.
