I don't get the anti-French sentiment in the USA these days, historically the US and France have been great allies, going all the way back to the revolutionary war where the French provided weapons and supplies to the rebels. Seems pretty freaking stupid for an AMERICAN of all people to dislike France. Besides, there's buttloads of French words and words of French origin used in American English, even basic things like the words pork and beef.
