I don't know if someone has already figured this out or not as I haven't looked around and read much in the way of feedback on the new snapshot. From my experience so far though, it seems like an easy way of finding slime chunks would be to generate a superflat map with the desired seed and write down the co-ords of any areas that have slimes in them (Since the super flat maps are low enough to allow slime spawning) and after that, generate the same seed in normal mode. Travel to the co-ordinates you have written down and voila, you now have access to easy slime farming. I've tried it so far and it seems to work, but I'd like someone else to look further into this as I don't have much time on my hands to do so myself. It works for me though.
Enjoy!

A wise man once said, "A troll feeds on the souls of good people. Feed the troll and you will suffer unforseen consequences."
Probably. I don't see it doing any harm though. I'd rather have a flat map that has ground at a lower level to allow me to build higher things rather than one with a higher ground level.

I never even thought of that! I will give it a try when I have time .

Well you can always turn it on peaceful. I'm 99% sure that will prevent them from spawning.
Actually I think the small ones still spawn on peaceful (and the large ones don't despawn when set on peaceful).

I am not sure if it's up to date with the snapshot, but it was until recently.
DOn't give me cheating. It's not any less cheating than the OP's description.
