Come on guys. Quit with the excuses. I understand you like Notch/jeb, but there is no reason why you should shield them from all criticism. Your just holding Mojang back, letting them run the development like a spoiled brat, and letting them do whatever, whenever, however because they know your going to make up excuses for them.
They where able to get away with this in pre-release, but now its post-release, so there are really no excuses to why NPCs aren't finished, or how swamps have poor blending, and not forgetting that only the Mooshroom can spawn in Mushroom biomes, including hostile mobs.
So, yeah. Let them realize sometime that their not doing their best, and let them improve. All your doing is allowing them to produce **** and create the illusion that the community is okay with it.
The mushroom biomes are fine.
They're working on the villager a.i. as we speak.
1.0.0 was a milestone, have patience.
You can't get more people to work on the project by simply bitching at us.

I agree. Notch and Jeb made a great game, but they aren't gods and we must say them how the game could be better.

I agree, as long as we tell them logically.
If we say we dislike something we must say why.
If we say why, we should say what would be a better way, if we can't find a better way then we can't complain about it's current state.
I feel like too many people are essentially 'nagging' the developers instead of 'constructively assisting' them.

The current perception of doing something better for most the people whining about 1.0.0 seems to be rolling back versions.
Which is a terrible solution.

I agree. Notch and Jeb made a great game, but they aren't gods and we must say them how the game could be better.
That is a completely reasonable statement. Unfortunately, the OP is saying that we should believe that Notch and Jeb are crap at making this game, and they are lazy and don't bother to do anything right. Which is a completely unreasonable statement.
Does that mean that I'm a complainer who complains about complainers complaining about complainers that complain about complaining complainers, that are complaining about complainers, that are complaining about complainers who complain about complainer, that is complaining about the complainers complaining about the original complainers, which are probably the complainers who complain about complainers complaining about complainers in the first place?
Then there were complainers who complained about complainers.
Now there are complainers who complain about complainers who complain about complainers, complaining about complainers complaining.
What is this world coming to?

No. It just simply means that you are dissatisfied with those whom complain at the expense of those who know that the complainer's incompetency withholds the power to increase the possibility of the developer accepting complaints and knowing that the complainers now disregard the complainers who complain about the complaining.

I don't complain about complainers (that would be redundant). I only complain about immature self-entitled pre-pubescent pricks that think that their opinion is the only one that matters, and that they are always right -- you know, about 80% of the forum posters.
The day, little 13 years old whiney brats knowing better what to add to minecraft, is the day mojang ****ed all up...
I think they have better plattforms to search for help, then this forums filled with spoiled kids bitching around and thinking theyr brainfarts are awesome pieces of genious....
You think that Notch and Jeb can't do errors ? You think they're gods ? You think that saying them how the game could be better is a crime ? You're wrong. They made a really great game, but sometime they may do errors. The only way it's bad to tell them is when it's not constructive. You generalize. You saw a few stupid topics and you say that EVERY topics are like that ? On forums, age don't matter. If someone 13 years old have good arguments, that's right. Do you even know the age of people that starts these few stupid topics ?
I think normal mobs not spawning in mushroom biomes is deliberate, that's certainly something I enjoy about them.
Villager AI is being worked on as we speak, and swamps are fixed.
Everyone should maybe stop whining about problems Jeb and company are aware of since they are being worked on an the results so far have been very promising.

I agree ALL the way, and it makes me sick whenever people try to defend Notch and Jens and the mojang devs. There really is no way or reason to defend Mojang -- they have no excuse, because they've had time to add cool features, and instead they've added ****, and not fixed some **** yet. They could have added a use for the quiver, made sponges generate underwater, (they could make oceans less bland, + then you could smelt them into dry sponges, AND GOD DAMN THEY WOULD BE SO USEFUL) added full screen for minecraft, and other things, but no, they add these villagers with the AI of a doorknob and replace some sound effects! It would probably take a month at the very most to fix all of the bugs that came along with 1.8.1 and 1.0. I just can't stand the fact that they would work on 1.0 so much by adding sounds and things, and then leaving villagers unfinished... WTF?
And thats why I'm not playing minecraft until this crap is dealt with.
Mooshrooms have a chance of spawning in other biomes.
First of all, Complaining on the forums saying "this is crap" or "version X.X.X was better!" is useless.
As KyoShinda said above, If you don't like something, say WHY and do your best to suggest how it should be fixed (Without saying "bring back X.X.X [insert feature here]")...
Developing something isn't clear cut.
There's no way to please everyone. If they change something there will no doubt be some people who say they want it back the way it was... Even when they're trying to fix a previous problem or make a feature better or more 'how it should be'.
Making a game is hard work. Granted, 1.0.0 terrain generation was quite disappointing but with the latest snapshot you see they're trying to fix that.
With better AI coming to the villagers, they will no longer just walk around staring at you. Of course we all know that there will still be plenty of people saying "The AI is still crap" or of course "Why didn't they fix mob AI first!"...
It's about development. You try to develop something, and end up pleasing everyone - Impossible.
TL;DR
Constructive Criticism.
Development is hard.
Be patient.

Hey, I agree. Making a game is very hard work. We should respect Mojang more for adding wonderful things that took so much effort, like ****ING THE TERRAIN GENERATION and adding villagers with no AI. They could have added zombie pigmen AI to villagers, made them drop iron or something, made them have the player sound, and then villagers would be reasonably intelligent until the next update -- it would at least be entertaining and worthwhile to raid them. But NO. He adds this unfinished thing and pisses off thousands of minecraft players. I see exactly what you mean by not being able to please everyone, but its better to please some people than please nobody. I don't think anyone is pleased with the villagers, and there are LOTS of people who hate the new terrain -- I think its safe to say that the majority of the community does.
Oh, and I'm a game developer, so I sort of understand this stuff. :tongue.gif:
They could have added zombie pigmen AI to villagers, made them drop iron or something, made them have the player sound, and then villagers would be reasonably intelligent until the next update -- it would at least be entertaining and worthwhile to raid them.
Also the forums would be full of threads complaining about how lazy Mojang is for just popping a new skin on zombie pigmen and calling it a brand new mob.
And yes, it is better to just please some people since you can't please everyone. That's exactly what they've been doing this entire time.
There's 1 million members on this forum. Plenty of those accounts are spambots. So this forum doesn't even represent a majority of Minecraft players. Also factor in that for every person on the forum that agrees with you there is at least one that doesn't. So please, stop acting as if you know what the "majority of the community" wants. You don't. You know what you want and you know what your opinions are but you can not possibly speak for the other 4 million players.

The way I see it, so long as Mojang hasn't decided to stop development on Minecraft, It's just a step towards what they want to achieve.
Add villagers, they do nothing, but they're obviously going to improve on them.
I like to think of it as a "sneak peek". You know something is going to happen, and you know what's going to do it, but what will they do?
It's all about how you take the information you've been given. I try to be positive :smile.gif:
