Where did he talk about mod support? I'm interested.
The devs are working on an API so the .jar file doesn't have to be reverse-engineered every time a new version comes out. Sorta how World of Warcraft has an API so the modders can create UI add-ons for the game.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Just waiting for Forge to officially release for 1.13.x to remove unneeded mobs from 1.13, like Phantoms, from the game because, in my gameplay based opinion, they add nothing of value to the game.
Fun fact: Clicking a bed every 30 minutes doesn't make you a better player, it makes you one who clicks a bed every 30 minutes. Wouldn't you rather just mod them out of the game completely?
All I see is NOTCH THIS and NOTCH THAT. What has Notch done other than make the game, make millions, and sit on his ass for all of beta? (Rhetorical Question) The fact that Notch is the founder of Mojang has only put Minecraft's existance in jeopardy. Whatever Notch says, goes. That's a really dangerous path for an awesome, yet unstable, game to take.
At first, Minecraft was all about Mining. Judging by the name, who would disagree? So a game that is named after mining, is about "adventure"? Seriously, Notch? Why not improve the aspects that make Minecraft MINECRAFT? Why add things like combat XP and useless villages, instead? If I was a total noob to Minecraft and played for the first time in 1.0, I would be completely lost. I would slay every cow and pig for miles, cut down every tree, and spend countless clicks trying to come up with a crafting recipe for bread. Minecraft isn't anywhere near a full game, yet Notch has already added a shitty boss fight and ending. The only thing that has keeps me playing Minecraft is the awesome modding community, who through all odds, manage to turn Notch's dump of a game into something worth playing.
1) Crafting recipes are for the most part logical. The Tutorial (Early Achievements) tells you what items to make and through some easy deduction you can work out how to make those items.
2) Yes NPCs are pointless but Notch is hiring a guy who specializes in AI to help with them.
3) Technically, no. You have two options; Kill the Enderdragon, or die. Both are always possible. (Killing the enderdragon without any items is just really, really hard, but still possible.)
4) Nether portals for fast travel is impossible you say? Then what have I been doing for the past 12 months?
5) Notch didn't want a super easy way to change between them because it would mess with survival mode. "I don't have enough diamonds...I'll just switch to creative and spawn myself a stack" It's also why you can't easily switch out of hardcore.
6) Can you inform me what is so different about 'Adventure' and 'Survival'? To me Minecraft is both Adventure and Survival.
7) I'm pretty sure that whole Minecon thing was for the release of Minecraft. What other update gets that much recognition?
8) Notch has already talked about the Mod support problem.

3.It's not hard to kill it w/o items, just lengthy. Even if you're naked he hurts you once but never after the first hit. I killed it with a stone sword last time. I didn't even use arrows on it.
You are all full of beans for 1.0.0 isn't the end, have you been getting the weakly snapshots? this is prof that this isn't the end (Therefor 1.0.0 isn't a full game).

Pretty much this.
As for #8, http://www.minecraftforum.net/news/366-mod-api-coming-in-january/
And for #3, The enderdragon is a final boss. I don't know of many games where you are allowed to back out from battling the final boss.
