I like the Aether well enough. as for the "starting over" stuff, yes it is annoying. however, the gains you get after being fully set up... a black moa roost in the aether to supply my overworld base with flying mounts is enough of a plus.
face it, that mod fills the sky world hole in our hearts too well. notch has less reason to add it.
