What's the new block texture supposed to be, a cauldron?
That, or an incubator for eggs later on? Not sure.
No new block IDs or recipes that would fit it =/. Guessing it's just there to tease us for now knowing notch and jeb_

Ok, going on one of notch's latest tweets: "Yeeesss!! Arbitrary NBT Data per Item Instance is done! Works in both single player and multi player. :biggrin.gif: :biggrin.gif:"
and: "What it means? It means we can do item enchantments, item naming, more than "just" 65k possible maps per level, and all sorts of nonsense."
Source being here (scroll down and you'll see it)
I guess this means that we will have 'classes' of items now. Some of them would definitely be used for potions, others I'm guessing for weapons and then others (dashing, charming?) I'm not really sure about.
Cool stuff! :biggrin.gif:

This could mean these are specifically potion only, or it's more generic and could be related to enhancements to items as well. (As potion works for that too)
Those potion names make me hopeful that potions are going to be like in a roguelike, maybe not completely random, but you won't know what they do until you drink them :biggrin.gif:

All of them? Even dashing and handsome?
Strange potions are going to be brewed up I suppose...
<3 Im off for a few hours guys. Any new information added will be updated when I get back. (I'm off to pack up the rest of my apartment from when I moved.)
I tried to read through most of the thread so far and didn't see this but a blaze rod can be "crafted" to make two blaze powders. Seems minor but there it is

Confirmed
aww it was on the first page, along with a couple others
1 blaze rod -> 2 blaze powder
blaze powder + slimeball -> magma cream
spider eye + brown mushroom + sugar -> fermented spider eye
So I am entirely confused on hardcore mode. Is hardcore mode automatically implemented in ANY survival game? It's not a difficulty setting? Because I started a world on easy mode and let's just say it's gone now.

No, as of now it seems to be a feature of worlds in general... I checked a creative world and it 'is deleted upon death'
Nope, need fire to craft, so no legitimate method still.
And just so it gets caught, another new recipe:
(I need this confirmed)

Those are all classified as potion.prefix.
"potion.prefix.mundane", "potion.prefix.uninteresting", ....

"That's a mighty handsome stone sword you have there!"
"Thanks! Yours appears rather dashing!"
Yup, all of 'em.
I want a stinky sword!

Yes those other two recipes definetly work also.
awesome, this sounds like the beginnings of alchemy :biggrin.gif:
I can confirm that. I just found a pumpkin and turned it into seeds.
