Right now as Endermen are they are just weak teleporting zombies but I got an idea on how to flesh them out.
What if an Enderman could "suck" light from around it? So that there is always a bit of darkness around an Enderman even if torches are next to it.
Enderman can die in only about 2 or 3 hits with your sword however they take a while to kill you. I propose the Enderman have a stronger attack strength where they can kill you in 2 or 3 hits.
And if you get too close to an Enderman their arms will slow stretch out to grab you and pull you in slowly from a distance.

All while they make creepy whisper noises.
You know what a good idea is?...... you use your own ideas, or at least credit those people who thought of them
because the whole "sucking" the light and doing more damage was my idea.

Well, everyone thought of them doing more damage.
also, i like the idea of them sucking out light.

Want the blight town experience? pay someone to throw rocks at you as you tightrope across two buildings.
Want the sens fortress experience? pay someone to throw rocks at you as you tightrope across two buildings.
Want the anor londo experience? pay someone to throw rocks at you as you tightrope across two buildings.
I like the idea of them giving off negative amounts of light. Makes them appear more horrible. :tongue.gif:
I think that Endermen shouldn't be able to kill you very fast, because it makes the experience more frightening, and makes you panic more. However, they should be able to ignore armor to an extent, so it's not sitting there poking you for seven hours because you're wearing full diamond.
Honestly, I think Endermen should work off the same basic idea as Wolves and Zombie Pigmen - more often than not, you find them solo and moving some block somewhere else, but every now and then, you can run into a pack of them: 2-4 Endermen in one area should be a more frightening event. Right now you can trigger one, take care of it, then at your leisure you can take care of the others, because why not - they're weak and go down in a couple hits anyways.
The teleportation mechanic can have a better use, in that additional Endermen will instead teleport around your location, cutting off any real escape paths, then move in for the kill. Would make it a bit more interesting, in my opinion.

Turning "Limit Framerate: OFF" to "ON"will often solve many problems on SMP servers that would otherwise be considered lag. Remember this.
That video gave me this idea. The Enderman only walk towards you if you are not looking at him (or the other way around, to keep they original omg-don't-look-at-it behavior). Of course if you attack, he will chase you

"I think endermen shouldn't attack but instead, once you stop looking at them they tele behind you and drag into the dark with all the mobs, or drag you off/into cliffs, lava, and fire pits, then right before they themselves fall in they tele away.

I think Endermen should be rare, scary and dangerous.
Not lame teleporting zombies.
