I don't know if someone caught this one yet, but as I was trying to create a post with a poll about pizza with lots of picture of said food, I hit the Preview button to see how it was looking so far. Instead of showing me the preview, it gave me an error, and I lost the whole post. =/
The error is just "
Error
Sorry, an error occurred while processing your request.
"
I was playing with the sizes and border sizes of the images, and one of them I had given a negative border size, which worked, surprisingly! There was less space before and after the image than when it has a border size of 0.
But when I hit Preview, it sat there loading for a long while, and eventually gave me the error message I mentioned above.
I tried to reproduce my steps a few times, and it seems like sometimes it gives the error, sometimes it works but takes forever to load, and sometimes it works right away.
it failed 3 times before I finally figured out this image:
was causing it to fail. Perhaps something in its name wasn't being handled correctly? Maybe it's too long?
When it does work, the image "re-sizing" seems to reset itself... But that would be a separate issue. I'll test that some more, and if it's consistant, I'll post it separately.
After experimenting some more, I don't think the negative image borders have anything to do with the error (As I mentioned above, the borders and image dimensions seem to get reset, I'll create a separate topic for that). That image in the picture above had a weird URL
2. Create a picture with this URL, or just paste it as text outside of code tags:
[pre][/pre]
3. Expected result: When clicking Preview or Create Thread, it should preview the topic, or create the thread, but instead it give the error mentioned above, "Error Sorry, an error occurred while processing your request.", and you lose the post. If you try to create the thread, it seems to actually work, but creates a blank post with no author or creation time. The first person to post in that topic gets labelled as the author. See this post, which is when that happened: http://beta.minecraftforum.net/forums/beta/test-forum/2114770-what-kind-of-pizza-do-you-prefer
If you try to include that image or text in a reply, it gives you a different message, which I pasted at the end of the post above. The same happens if you edit a post and include a picture or text with that URL, except it looks like this:
The error is just "

Hmm, I've just gotten it to give the error without having a negative value. Perhaps there's another problem too. When trying to create this post:

it failed 3 times before I finally figured out this image:

And actually right now, as I tried to post this, I got this error, which I think was caused by that long URL somehow:
HTTP Code: 200
Status Text: OK
Address: http://beta.minecraftforum.net/forums/beta/forum-beta-feedback/2114742-getting-an-error-while-previewing-a-topic
Date: Thu Jun 26 2014 08:53:02 GMT-0700 (US Mountain Standard Time)
Request: POST /comments/create-14-2114742
I just put the url of the image in code
Also, I realized that I didn't really format this as a formal bug report, so I'll do that now:
1. I was creating a new topic, at this page: http://beta.minecraftforum.net/forums/beta/test-forum/create-thread
2. Create a picture with this URL, or just paste it as text outside of code tags:
