Just a couple of things I'm noticing in regards to the status bar at the top of the page
1: The font for the red badges is a bit small and very hard to read, even on large screens:
A simple increase in the size of the font from 8px to 10px seems to make it much better:
2: It seems that customizing the settings on notifications is bugged
I'm getting multiple alerts, but then I'll open the notifications and see only one or two items (less than the number expected from the badge). Potentially might be a modtools issue, since I'm seeing that for mostly warning appeals.
I dunno if it counts as the notification bar technically but it's related. When I come to the site it gives me an unclickable prompt to acknowledge that I got a warning/infraction/w.e. This moderation happened before the update and I already acknowledged it by talking to two different mods in the same PM exchange. Is this gonna be like how infraction points didn't work right before and mods would fix them when they felt like it or noticed it?

I was having this same problem but I would suggest using an adblocker and then manually selecting to block that popup. The loading icon will disappear and then you can press acknowledge.
Lois: Together we can do anything: face any foe, overcome any obstacle.
Peter: Yeah, climb any mountain, rent any video, dial any phone. And not just our phone, Lois, other people's phones. Decent phones, God-fearing phones, phones that everybody else gave up on, but we knew better because we were a team!
Brian: What the hell are you talking about?

That is being fixed.
Rouge, the double alert may be because someone quoted/replied to you twice in the same topic, therefore overlapping the alert but still displaying it as two. It's a feature on Xenforo aswell as Facebook.

Can you match my resolve? If so then you will succeed. - Monty Oum

This looks to be a bug, as it isn't related to posting.
I am always getting quoted but I hardly ever get notifications for it today when I was getting them every time yesterday.

It appears to be running very slow lately.
Yep I just got the notification for your quote now and it's been 10 minutes. I still haven't been getting it for other people who quoted me before you though.

Note that database changes etc will slow down the forum, so this launch will be a little bit of a rough ride for a few days.

Good to know that's something that will change after a bit.

So posting in the feedback section specifically meant for this forum upgrade isn't good enough I have to make a ticket out? You should just have a locked sticky topic with that link then. Maybe I'll just ignore it and see if they ever get around to fixing it.

I said to make a support ticket so you can have the symptoms fixed. The underlying cause would still need to be fixed. This section is for general bugs, feedback, opinions, etc. Issues that hinder your usage completely for the website can be temporarily fixed for you as an individual.
I'm not too impressed with the changes to the notification system. I prefer just recieving emails, but I don't seem to get those anymore despite replies to topics I had previously subscribed to. Moreover, the notification section of the forum shows me every single reply everyone has made to each thread. Lots of unnecessary scrolling, especially for popular threads, I.E. Tinker's Construct. I only need one notification for each thread, which Gmail did for me just fine while I was still receiving the e-mails for updates.
EDIT: That, or my preferences weren't ported properly with the update. My point about getting too many notifications still stands, though.
Also, I've flipped shovel textures for Tinker's Construct and ExtraTiC for a more realistic-looking animation, check here: http://www.minecraft...hovel-textures/
