I am a 3d modeler and currently i am in need of weapon ideas. Im not looking for real guns, more creative. Or even something like a glove, sword, anything. Im just at a creative wall. The game i'm making them for is kind of a "dark" game, but any ideas would be great. If you can come up with an idea and describe it here, that would be awesome. If your more artistic and and draw a reference, that would be even better. Thanks for anything, and if i like any of them, i will post pictures of my progress on making them.
EDIT: I had few idea for the main character before, and one of the things that he has is these bright green fingerless gloves, and thanks to these comments ive come up with an idea. Sort of buttons, The kind with a clip on the back, that you earn that would give you certain powers. (aka fire, strength,...) and you clip them on the glove and can, say, shoot fire out of your hand with the fire one selected, or maybe use a giant poison sword. Any ideas for the powers of the buttons and how they are used along with new weapon ideas would be great.
EDIT: a few ideas have stood out so far, the three claw shooter/ climbing idea, and the elemental swords idea.
EDIT: I wont be replying as much today, because i have to actually start reference models and that is usually harder then actually modeling, cause i have to get all the ideas into one good looking model.

I've always had a couple of odd ideas for weapons.
1. A sort of blade that attatches by a short pole of some sort to the wrist and elbow, and a second one for the shoulder and elbow, so that when punching as the elbow bends you have two blades that are coming off the side of your arm.
2. A spike that goes on your knee cap but is cut in half horizontally, so if you knee someone, the spike opens into two blades and when you retract your knee, it goes back to one.
Here's the basic idea / design, feel free to take them if you want it.

You could try your basic magic staff... like one you would see in dragons nest. more of a mid-short ranged dps kinda weapon. has your basic click attack and a charged attack.
Well, there's always the basic medieval weaponry, Longswords, battleaxes, warhammers, pikes, halberds, spears etc... But I'm not exactly sure if that's what you're looking for.
Im looking for creative weapons, that catch your eye. kinda of like how halo took guns and made them more "futuristic" and interesting. That kind of thing.

Sadly, it cant legally. Im using UDK for personal reasons, not commercial. I would have to pay, i think 35000 to buy the UDK license to distribute it, but i can post videos and maybe (wouldn't this be great) some company will see it and sponsor it.

They look awesome; but you could have the ability to shoot each one until you run out and have to craft another trio of them. Put you can pick them up if you wished, or could find them that is. Exactly, this would allow you to keep with your futuristic theme, but also have the authenticity and look of old medieval weapons. This would also allow you to make your game cross generation/time if that is what you wanted. The gauntlet though would be substituted for the sword idea. The gauntlets could not be able to be equipped while the elemental sword is equipped and vise versa. So that the player is not too over powered

BuzzKill - An industrial looking box, about 30Cmx30Cm (little less then the length of your arm) and is loaded with Buzzsaws, a firing mechanism (Left click, assuming that is the primary fire button) launches Buzzsaws out at a high speed, whilst a lever (Right Click, assuming that is the alternate fire) pushes out a buzzsaw and cranks the power, spinning it at a bone-slicing velocity. This weapon is industrial and fatal, perfect for destroying one's enemies.
2. Tectonic Gauntlet - a power piece of technology, this gauntlet allows the user to have powerful melee punches (Primary Fire) and will also allow the user to pull chunks of broken structures and earth towards them (Alt fire) and then fire them at the enemy (Alt fire w/ object). This weapon needs not rely on ammo to function, making it the perfect weapon when ammo is a problem.
3. Spas12 - Not all things in this game need to be futuristic or intricate, who says a good old Pump action, 6 round, dual action, 12 guage Shotgun can't quickly become your best friend? Primary fire being a normal 12 guage slug, alternate being 2 slugs fired out of both barrels
