One day, while preparing to travel from Erabos through a jump gate ,Wire and Swordo were talking. "I'm getting sick of this cramped jump room." Wire grumbles. "Aye sir, it is a bit small for my liking. And with the arrival of the Boat People, it has become very vulnerable.", says Swordo. "We are going to have to make some changes when we get back from Entanglement."
Wireman steps up to the first gate and enters the code for Entanglement. The portal flashes and a bright purple Gateway opens. Wireman is just about to step through, when he notices something. The gate shimmers. "Bloody hell."
There's a bright flash and the sound of a million panes of glass being dropped. Wire and Swordo are launched backwards with the force of the explosion. Swordo stands up and walks over to give his leader a hand up. Together, they approach the now green portal. They step through.
On the other side, a large hole, surrounded by what Wireman recognizes as Soul Sand, rests in the middle of an island. They draw their swords and step out into the field of sand. Suddenly, a piece of mossy cobblestone falls and lands next to Swordo. He jumps back and then looks upwards to see its origin. A large floating platform hovers above the Shifters. A crazed creature runs up to the pair and they raise their swords. "Ph-lee~ You must help us! My people and I have been dragged into this rift and we have no way of getting back home!~ Oh-bar" The foreign language is picked up by Wire and he immediately brings out his cypher, a large stick with a jewel on the end that records languages. It took awhile, but together Swordo and Wire took pieces of other languages to decipher the Foreigners.
After a couple hours of exploring, the Shifters sit down with the leader of these people. Wire says, "This world is very unstable. Groups of people have been pulled from several rifts into this one. We being the first of them. So far their have only been 3, but I can tell their is more to come. Something big is happening. We are needed here. Gather your men and begin building. We must prepare, for not all things from the Rifts will be as friendly as us." At that, a large conversation broke out between the Foreigners and the Shifters and they became good friends. The share pieces of information and the Foreigners told the Shifters of a way to make objects hover. Alas, night fell.
From the floating city, hordes of monsters began appearing. Several ones from the Foreigners world and several from this one. The Shifters fought and fought, but the Foreigners had brought very little weaponry with them. They were slaughtered. All but one. A single Foreigner remains guarding the bodies of his fallen comrades. The Shifters fell back to the Gateway and returned to Erabos.
Wireman was restless that night. He dreamt of strange worlds and immense evils descending upon Haven. Giants monsters, and tribes of men. A twisting gate and the sound of shattering glass. He woke and right then realized just how unstable this world really was.
Haven gaming has just made a new rule and we are now accepting Black people (or people of color as they like to call it). But homosexuals are still not welcome.
WAT
Yea but we are accepting of everyone who plays minecraft well... I don't even think this guy is a member :tongue.gif:. Yea, but Haven is great. Lots of fun.
We don't even have /warp or /home or those commands you are so used to. We are not the easiest.
We are probably not even the best.
What are we, then? We're Haven. We're a roleplay-first, story-driven server. Some other servers might claim to be RP. We have lore. We roleplay. We...are...a roleplay server. Some might even claim to be a PVP server. And they are, even more than Haven! But our PVP has meaning. It gives users power. It allows our users to create a world that has more meaning than building a giant pokéball.
Meh. I could go on, but there's really no point.
Oh, we're not going to 1.2; so if you wish to play, magically not be 1.2.
In just a few hours the marketplace went from barren to a fully functional and beautiful. Just amazing how well everyone works together to get **** done. Thanks to everyone that helped with this project.
This server is still better than sex, even after six months!
That's some old sex. You don't get that everyday. That makes us unique!

Dude. YES. I am totally impressed by how quickly you guys got on that. You, Hockey and Newname are a great team! I cannot wait to see what you have done tomorrow morning when I return.
A few users will join and are immediately banned after just a few minutes of play.
I really cannot stress reading the rules and following them enough.
We are not a "free for all" server or Buxville. We are small--tiny, by comparison--and do not work the same way other servers do. That is why Haven exists, as a Haven away from those kinds of things. But being in Haven is very difficult. It is difficult to join Haven and more difficult to stay here. We are a hardcore server with a serious set of tenants which we absolutely enforce.
Some of our most core members are banned on a near-regular basis for slipping up on the rules. Very soon I am going to be implementing better punishments, as not playing on Haven is becoming as almost regular as playing on it.
