Hey guys how's it going? I've just finished reading the entire thread, all 35 pages of glory and this is my first post here. What I'm about to say should not be taken as whining but the vagabonds seem kinda underpowered as it is. I know that their powers to turn invisible or a short speed boost are pretty good, I also heard someone talk about night vision which would be needed i think but unlike the other fractions they will have no cities to protect them so shouldn't they be more powered? As it is a vagabond woudn't be able to walk anywhere without getting mugged by five guys for what ever I have on me. I'm not saying they should be a one man army but they should be able to survive a fight pretty well.
There are a few things that i think the vagabonds should get if possible:
*Increased inventory
Vagabonds have no home so they can't just leave there stuff someplace without being tied down.
*Sucker punch/ Stealth attack
The Vagabonds should get an attack that can deal a good amount of damage to start off a fight or the they could get a stealth attack that when they are behind someone and they are crouched there attack can ignore armor not making it an insta-kill but still allowing you to take out a guy that has diamond armor on
*Poisoning
The ability to poison food or make poison arrows would increase their ability to sabotage armies and assassinate leaders
All of that aside the vagabonds are less travelers and more ninjas, they will probably end up always working for one group as long as they provide equipment due to the fact that it would take forever to get for them to get steel armor let alone diamond.
That's my two cents you will probably be seeing me more often on this thread, Vagabonds are awesome!
p.s. I really don't like the name vagabonds sounds to much like a hobo so what about Peregrinus it means "The Wanderers" in Latin tell me what you guys think i'd love to get some feedback.
Please and I mean PLEASE don't ruin the server with too much Role Playing. I've entered way too many servers where they're priority is making sure everyone is obeying "Lore" and they totally forget to aid the player and set up simple objectives. I really don't want to log on and wander around for 5 minutes wondering what to do, because a lot of these RP servers don't aid the player at all and leave you in the dark on what you're supposed to do.
The server will be light on RP, it seems, so don't worry about it too much.
In theory, that's the purpose of factional leaders. Giving purpose, direction, and organization. Big assaults and wars are planned and directed by emperors.
In general, though, the server is almost rule-less. You could always get a couple of faction-mates together and go burn some poor enemy's fields, or sneak off and break into someone's warehouse to steal all their diamond swords. The only safe zones are the areas you CAN'T do that in.

As a developer, I hear your concern a lot. Rest assured, my focus is 100% on providing you with a good time playing. There are no rules on our server. Period. Everything is free game, 100% of the time. If someone is harassing you, kill them, take their stuff, and laugh. If you want to form an alliance with a couple of other Vagabonds for defense, do so. Want to stage an assault on another city? Do it.
We try to give you as many options as possible. We keep the lore/rp/stuff there in order to provide a believable backdrop to the story and the game. Everything else that happens is up to how you play!

I like how forward thinking you are. You should visit us at Hakaslak.com and post those ideas in the Vagabonds thread. I'd definitely like to see some of these make it to release.

Or you could always have the peaceful life with a cabin on a cliffside, tending to your two hundred sheep and your beautiful wife, Deborah. :u
Like everyone else said. Do your own thing! :biggrin.gif:
Ever get the message 'bout the shirts, Daem? :u Think it'd take off at all? Even to make a teeny bit o' profit?
In other news, drawing down blueprints for the Prithvi as we speak. Thankfully, I've finally memorized the land we've picked for it. :biggrin.gif:

Exactly. We really want it to maintain the feel of Minecraft, and that's that everyone has their own thing to do in a world you can shape to be anything you want.

I dont know, I always felt no cities had its own advantages, with no cities you have nothing to defend, and very little advantage for an attacker to search you out. So likely the only people you will meet are war parties attacking another race / lone travellers, both of which you can simply stealth and run away from. I feel like poisoning food would be too much of an advantage, you can already steal the blocks/tools right out of our hands :tongue.gif: And diamond armour provides no more protection than leather, it durability just decreases slower :tongue.gif:
Pretty good points here. I'm inclined to agree, honestly. I've always viewed the vagabonds as more of a nomadic people anyways.

I do see what your saying but it really it's going to matter how other players treat Vagabonds, if they tend to be friendly don't try to kill us on sight then we won't need most of the perks added (But I'd really like to see night vision and increased inventory to allow more wandering )
But if players try to kill Vagabonds on sight for what ever reason then we will need more protection.
In truth I'd rather be a roaming Vagabond rather then the ninja assassin ones.
So all in all we will have to see how it goes and balance it from there.
P.S you guys still haven't commented on the name change.

Well, seeing as the vagabonds that will actually be grouped together (not the extreme loner ones) into different tribes, each tribe can have its own mini-city. And each can act separately, ie a friendly town as you were saying, or a military stronghold that is just used for stockpiling mercenaries and supplies.

Will they be allied or neutral towards each other though? Will all vagabonds be necessarily allied or will they just be neutral to each other until declared otherwise?

They can do what ever they want, they could be friendly of kill anyone in their path.
You were not banned for spawning doors. That would be rediculous. You were banned for building a TNT cannon twice, after I asked you not to, on the final server. You can re-apply for whitelist after the building is complete.

This pretty much sums up our plans for vagabond. Plus the loners.
Oh, also, I made a video on what I think Akashan structures should generally look like. Positive or negative feedback is welcome. I was gong to put this in my whitelist application, but I can't really do that right now since the site got messed up.

Not a problem xD

Can i get unbanned... Daemios obviously did not read my post in the chat box.

If so, I'd like to PM my application for whitelist to someone, who should I PM?
