RP example: All i could hear the guru's saying was "hes been meddling through time again!", "that child doesn't understand the impact his actions have on the timeline!". I wished a gate would open up and suck those old fools in to the darkness beyond time. I could always go back and "fix" the time line, but i was sick of being the chosen one. I'll make sure those old fools can't track me this time. I'll use this time egg to travel out of there jurisdiction and start over.
Bio: After thwarting enemies throughout the far reaches of time, I find little to do but eek out an existence in a time where no one knows the pain i feel from re-writing history and ending the existence of forgotten eras.
This are the two most convincing arguments against SOPA.
"Supporters of SOPA and PIPA are evil. No, I’m not exaggerating. I know it’s politically retarded to compare someone to Hitler, but no joke, anyone who supports these bills is actually evil.
First, the obvious. These bills punish all internet users, trying to make sure pirates get caught in the blast. Of course piracy is wrong, but the fact is there will always be someone out there who is better at computers than you, and statistically that person won’t be working for the government, they’ll be some dude writing the next kazaa. I mean, that’s the problem already! Pirates have already found ways around all anti-piracy measures. SOPA and PIPA just raise the punishment for lesser copyright infringement- the kind that doesn’t affect pirates but has consequences for casual internet users.
But on to why the people supporting these bills are evil. People describe the internet as just that, the internet; something unique, different from real life. But the internet is just another form of communication- one that offers anonimity, instantaneousness, and all sorts of things that talking, writing, video, etc do not. What the internet is, is information. All of the information in the world, uncensored, right at your fingertips. To censor any part of it is to censor information itself. To censor the closest example of pure free speech we have. People act like it isn’t these things, like the “internet” is something else, like television or games or some other media. But the fact is the internet is a network between people. The bridge that lets people talk isn’t what you want to censor, it’s the people themselves. They call it censoring the “internet” as if it has a mind of its own, but really they’re trying to censor you and me. To censor the very concept of information and knowledge. This is the most blatantly evil thing I’ve ever heard. The only reason they can do it is because they diconnect the concept of the internet from the user.
So these are my thoughts on PIPA and SOPA. These bills have far greater implications than ruining the internet.. They’re a direct attack on knowledge itself."
"I absolutely support the right of companies and individuals to attempt to combat and prevent the theft and piracy of their copyrighted materials. You could argue that SOPA and PIPA won't even stop all piracy, and you'd be right. But that doesn't mean that companies aren't entitled to continue trying to find the solution(s) that work. So in that sense, I have no complaint with the goal of the SOPA/PIPA bills.
However I'm wholeheartedly against the way that goal is being executed with these two piece of legislation making their way through the senate and the house respectively. The wording in sections of these the two bills are at times so vague that it's impossible to not immediately imagine the ways corporations could abuse the power they'd be awarded.
Without laying out specific boundaries to contain the legislature to its intended purpose, and to ensure that that purpose can't intentionally or accidentally bleed into affecting aspects of the internet that we don't want it to, the bills are just to volatile to let pass."

SOPA and PIPA...They aint cool man.
SOPA/PIPA have noble goals but what it will do is more against the entirety of the internet then the pirates themselves. Stopping the pirates is like stopping drug trade or the old times pirates, people try and sometimes it works. But truth be told its part of humanity as a whole. There will always be those breaking a law or taking illegal drugs or in this context, stealing. We can try to stop and control it but we can not, no matter how hard we try. I am not saying we as a society should allow or condone it, but it has, is, and always will be part of humanity. To stop them would be to take total control of humanity, which is what the two bills will essentially do to the Internet. No matter how noble the goal it is wrong and can not be allowed to pass. Even a noble goal, like dare I say hitler's attempt to bring germany to its former glory, when given power it should not have will become evil.
Wished Facebook blacked out for a day, then I would've stayed off the Internet today.
Lol
Edit: and 4chan, and tumblr, and YouTube.
It would be easier for me to protest if I had a life outside the Internet.
But what difference does it make if only 1 person is away from the Internet for a day?
The protests are not to get people off the Internet persay, it is to get people off the Internet and protest the bills. Every senator and representative are in congress to be our voice, but if no one speaks up then how do they know what to say? If every person says "what difference does 1 person make?" then who will be the ones to make a difference? I may sound like some political guy but in all honesty I have never cared what the government does until now. I don't want a world where the last pure and un censored thing, the
Internet, is finally lost. I know that, if this bill passes and the dangers to the Internet become real, there will be major consequences. I hope that the day they and other bills like them pass will never come and I am trying to play a hand in stopping them.
And no I'm not off for 24 hours, I'll be on TS. Just I will not be on the server.

I'm saying what difference does it make cause if they wanted to make a bigger impact, I say stop YouTube, stop google, stop twitter, and Facebook for a day.
Just one small day like wikia is doing to open the eyes of many Americans and other people out there.
The people who think that if they get off for one day, it kind of happens every day, but I see your point about if they're getting off for a day, there should be some sort of occupy movement.
I think a more radical approach would cause awareness, rather than someone thinking one small thing can do anything if they're doing nothing.
I dunno if you got what I mean.
Edit: sure they're losing money for a day, but if they are BIG companies, would they rather lose the money or be a big movement that saves the Internet as it is?
As for those protesting, I don't see a point in just not being online for 24 hours if you're not going out and spreading awareness, I mean I posted my part of Facebook, twitter, tumblr, but what else can we do?
If you don't log on for a day, it's like that earth hour thing, close your lights for an hour, but I'm sure there are people out there also still wasting electricity, people who don't give a **** about anything cause it's not happening at the instant!
If we want things done, why cant we go back to protecting like the 60s where people were actually out and doing something?
I'm sure if there's just one person logging off there's still others on.
We are down until 3PM EST in protest of SOPA
