Heres an idea for a group, if your enemy is located in a valley have one guy go up and talk to him outside of the house, get the rest of the people to hide behind trees or the valley walls, when the signal is triggered, every one will jump out and shoot the guy to death with bows.
Make a hole that is deep enough to leave a full-health player with just a couple hearts in one of the doorways of the player's house while they're out. Thwick a couple arrows into the front wall of their dwelling so they eat food and get real wary. Stalk them and wait for them to fall, bait them towards the hole somehow if necessary. When they make it back up, you will be waiting with sword in hand. This way you can get all the items they dropped with minimal hassle.
Or hide in their book case. When they reach for an encyclopedia,
BAM
knife in the eye.
They'll never see it coming, not from a mile away...
However my idea is camouflage, making your player skin tree bark, dirt, sand, rock, or something subtle. stand next to whatever your disguised as and harass with arrows from a distance, or work you way towards their home. Most effective at night of course, and when close enough light their house on fire with flint, make like a tree and get the **** out of there, watch untill a wall is burned down, run in and loot 'em. This is assuming Notch does not let you destroy blocks belonging to others.
I plan to make what looks like a abandoned base with a easy to get chest, have glass on the roof part, 1 tile (they would probably pay attention to the treasure chest as its the "mystery box" scenario thing!) Then i drop down and maul them to death with a iron sword!

Magic have a bigger priority than Technology when it comes to combat, but Mining and Crafting a bigger priority to Magic.

it won't work unless there will be a way to hide your giant floating name above your head.
Thats something Notch should consider. He may need to make it so you can directly see them. Working through glass, leaves, and halfblocks could be more torment for Notch.

PvP is like sex. When both parties are willing, it can be a very enjoyable experience. However, when one party is not, it is bound to ruin someone's day.
Requires: 2 people.
What you'll need: A lot of strong blocks, and a tnt block, bows, and some arrows.
Will this work?: Yes.
Distractor: (at nightfall) Go up to a person who looks like they are far into the game. Ask them if you can see what their base looks like because you don't understand the concept of the game/recipes. Get him to take as long as possible. After the trapper makes the wall, drop the tnt, light it, run out, and drop a block to keep him from following.
Trapper: After your buddy goes inside, start building a wall around their base. if their walls have glass, put it around the glass but not in. if theres a LOT of glass, you'll need extra tnt, or make sure you watch that area after you say the word. keep digging, and look for something for him to drop into, dig dig dig, until he dies from lava, or the fall. once your set, say a secret word, and watch the glass if there was any.
After the word: get out, make sure he does not survive, keep shooting until hes dead, then loot everything he has, and make use of his base, if he come back, he'll be an easy kill, he has nothing left.
Most of these ideas are either the same, or very similar.
What I would do, is, first: Ask a player into my home (An almost airtight room, the only thing leading to the outside is a door. It would be underwater too, but they don't know that.) Have them look at something brilliant that I have created, and close them off from the outside world by blocking the door with stone. Then I break a hole in the ceiling, allowing violent rushing torrents of water to flood the area in, suffocating him/her and forcing him/her to drown.
Or maybe you could dig a very large, very deep pit that would certainly spell death for whoever fell in, and then set up a flat flood gate of torches and sand above the pit, and set that as the floor of a house with a chest in it. When they walk up for the stuff in the chest, delete a block that was holding back the water and watch them fall to their doom.
Contains Pachebel's Canon made with noteblocks, a working Rubik's cube made with pistons, and the ultimate TNT cannon.
:laugh.gif: I doubt the player will grab an encyclopedia. :laugh.gif:
