Probably the wrong place, and I'm sorry if it is, but it's about Survival Mode after all. Um...What is it? -Dies- :oops:
I saw some people talking about "Finding a key and it activating a trap"? Is there some kind of quest system in it that I'm missing, or is the point to run around, kill stuff and just...do that? Anywho, what's exactly the point, is there a goal, something I'm trying to find/reach, or is it just to go around, build stuff, and kill stuff?
Also, I don't think I have an inventory, I can't open it to build a work bench and start crafting stuff like weapons, also noticing that no one else has weapons in screenshots, I assume that's normal. Thing which bugs me is, is there something I'm missing? "I found a key and it activated a lava trap" is what I saw in one thread...This sounds like something I'm missing.
Edit: Okay um, I just paused it, opened another tab and went back. . . Now the sound is skipping and choking, even after closing said tab v.v;
Well, there is currently no win conditions on the current survival, so it's just kill and build. The reasons you don't have an inventory, weapons, crafting and torches is because that is in Indev/Infdev, which you have to pay for. The keys and traps are discussion about a future version with levels in dungeons, wherein keys, traps, and remotely controlled things will be added.
Hope this helps.
This is survival mode right? If your wondering, there are four game modes as such at the moment: Creative, Survival, Indev and Infdev. The thing they were talking about is probably in Infdev or Indev, and not survival. Dare I say it, Survival is pretty **** (not in development) and thats probably thats probably the reason why its "missing something"
Oh, I know about the modes, I've bought the game and have 2 games in Indev and 3 in Infdev, I just heard about that "Dungeon" aspect, and got curious. Thanks for the replies and lol @ Survival is **** XD
I agree that it has a hell of alot of bugs, not to mention, if you ever get a single frame rate skip of under 60 fps, the sound henceforth will forever choke on and off. I actually restarted the game without refreshing the tab, and those sounds kept playing in an infinite loop. I hope sometime soon he decides to work on the single player aspect of survival and add the dungeons, as it would give a sort of "Purpose" to playing it, other than a score.
Maybe he could implement a few bonuses or prizes for scores you get for single player?(Only usable in your own single player games in indev/infdev to keep fairness.) Like extra things you can craft, or something, not too sure, seems like it could really give more of an incentive to buy and experience the full game. Of course, that score bug or whatever it was with reloading the game would have to get fixed. The available modes and being able to visit and talk on the forums without buying it seem like enough of a test if people want to buy it, this could just add to it. Well, that's my opinion anyway.
