I don't know if these have been suggested before:
- "Spawn Point", instead of starting in a random spot, have a house or something that the mobs can target.
- Mobs that can destroy blocks to get to you
- Have the zombies generate something,.. maybe "gold" that you can buy certain blocks with..
- Harder to find blocks, the rarer they are, the faster that they kill mobs.
Just some ideas, I'm new, so don't expect me to know "everything". :smile.gif:
Spawn point: I don't exactly understand, do the monsters only spawn near me, or around a point, or at one fixed position?
Mobs that can destroy blocks: Good idea, but it has been said before. It is a good idea though as right now they can be stopped by a dirt wall costing 8 blocks. (if you surround yourself with 4 walls.). It means that you cant suvive inside a house for hours.
Zombie gold: I don't know if this has been suggested before, but it is good. You could maybe buy better blocks that take longer to destroy. However Notch has said he will add crafting, which could mean crafting better blocks.
Harder to find blocks: Good idea again, but crafting better weapons from ore could mean better damaging weapons.
if we ever make the seas/lakes more advanced(not like a bowl, there are some cracks in it) how about eels. they just hide in caverns and will jump out if provoked. can also shock you and make electric arrows.
I think Skeleton Pirates would be a good idea. They float around over their gold and shoot at you. This covers gold, and a water based monster.
But the top of the water isn't what's interesting.
Underwater enemies, now that's where the fun's at!
... I have to say, though, that sounds kind of cool even if it doesn't make a lot of sense (why would they float over their gold, making it obvious where it is? :tongue.gif:)

"I want to see forum posts saying "how do i kill dragon" with replies reading "lol"."
---> vede claimed Notch said this (and it is awesome).

And longer lasting, if they wore down over time.
I like the idea of zombies dropping gold. Maybe a rare version of a creeper that makes gold when it explodes?
Anyone caught within the blast radius is instantly killed and turned into gold. Air, blocks, all things turn into solid gold.
I have no idea if it actually sounds... good or fun though xD

You spawn there, not the monsters; if you are in the building, then the monsters get at you by using the below idea.
What do you mean by that?

I actually thought of that, but forgot.
..Maybe some chests of gold underground in the water, and a pirate ship, and lava monsters?

No, THIS IS PATRICK
