Day 1: Spent the whole night fighting zombies....well after i lost 4 hearts i dug a hole into the ground and covered it for about 10 minutes. At least i didn't die.
Well, day 1 : collected the wood, got 1 tile of grass, and I started to make a quick house of sand and planted my 4 sapling
day2: i digged my way down with a spining stair on a 3x3 block until a reached the ground
day 5: i reached the ground with now a forest of trees on my island, farming them, and made a farmign area by spreading my tile of grass
days 8: i got a lot of wood, and bread now, found a cave ontop of the floor of the map, with 9 diamons, and lava with obissian
days 10: i created a portal on the surface, and another one into the nether, where i collected all I needed
- Mined a lot, chopped wood and planted trees.
- Now i have enough dirt to expand the grassy area A LOT.
- Also started a wall around my mine and trees.
2nd day:
- Found a lot of coal
- Found the clay :tongue.gif:
- Found iron
- Completed my wall
- Now have an extremely lit island. Lots of trees and cactus, and see no further use of this island.

Well, I just finished Day 1.
I got 6 saplings out of the first tree, which I consider extremely valuable. Trees are the most important factor to my success here.
I used the wood to make a crafting table, a wooden pickaxe, and two stone swords. I harvested several cacti from around the island and used them to wall off all but one block of my underground base.
The base itself was annoying to build, even though it's only 2x6. The deep sand made it difficult to make a roof without using precious dirt. I'll have to look into getting the dirt back for more planting ground. I found six gravel blocks and during the night I turned them to six flint, which I hope will be useful.
It's still night and I'm waiting for sunrise so I can collect whatever mob-bounty there may be from the daylight and my cacti. I'm hoping not to find creepers, but on this difficulty I really can't expect such fortune. Having nowhere to store my valuables, It's dangerous to go outside. This is the highest difficulty I've ever played at, so I'm going to be extra careful here.
Going outside will be necessary. I must check on my little saplings -- my lifelines. Without them, all hope of survival is lost.

Someone sig this guy, I don't have enough room to..
i like this a lot... fun new level... i like the more objective based nature of this... and farming trees to survive is exciting... took forever to find coal for me... but now i found a huge underground cavern... and what looks like a colliseum... crazy zombie spawn somewhere around here... make more saves, i dig it...
Well , I played this map while having plenty of mob mods on like the Mo's mod , More Mobs mod etc etc , and holy cow , I already died thrice within an in game week . Haven't built much , but I managed to build an underground farm and a sand castle forte to defend , digging up all the sand around me now , also blocked the island with cobblestone , so no mobs can come in .
Already found 10 diamonds and 3 stacks of iron , 4 stacks of redstone , 1 stack of gold already . Have 2 branch mines near seabed level >.>
My trees won't grow, and I can't find coal...and my pickaxe is about to break. I only have 2 HP left, and I'm very down on my luck...so much for a third day on the island. :\
Heh, this looks fun. :smile.gif: I was starting to get bored of Minecraft, too, since I had nothing to do...
DAY ONE
...started out well. I managed to knock four saplings from the tree and moved a piece of dirt to the sides of the island, to space out the growing trees. From the three blocks of wood I made a pickax and a sword. Dug out a home below the remaining earth block and found coal! So I made some torches and lit up my world.
Theeeennn, I tried making a fence of cacti around my home and hurt myself. xD So then I made a gamble and created a hoe, but got absolutely no seeds from the grass. Spent the rest of the evening stomping on the tilled earth so it would die and grass would grow again. ;___;
So lonely here. Not used to having nothing on my horizon. I miss mountains.
And ZOMBIES. I hear ZOMBIES.

Download the map in the first post
Run %appdata% , go into the .minecraft folder , enter the saves folder , then just insert the world you just downloaded in
