it will lag, since camtasia use a lot of resources. If you got more than one core processor, you can set camtasia to run with one core, and minecraft with another core. It helps, but if you lack of c:\ space and memory, it still going to suck. :sad.gif:
I check my camtasia and the options seems to be reset. I think I use DivX 6.8.5 that is optimized for dual core compression.
I'm going to try that now, if this works I will be so happy.
EDIT: Your suggestion went the way you said it would, though I haven't tested for any improvements yet
EDIT EDIT: It works! Now the recording is just as laggy as minecraft is. Though that isn't saying much, because every so often I drop to 1fps. Now if only you knew how to fix that.....

close all other programs.
get more ram.
get better video card.
have at least 10gb on your main drive (usually people use c:\ )
Both recording software and minecraft took a lot of resources :sad.gif: . Heard fraps is faster than camtasia, so do some other programs, but I don't use them. Fraps is awesome but it give you uncompressed video, too big for youtube imo.
May not work the best, I'm on a laptop XD. I tried fraps, but that lags me a lot. Maybe it might not if I try the multi-core thing, but that wouldn't change the lag in minecraft. And I'm probably not going to get any upgrades any time soon.
On-topic. Keep up the brilliant work, I can't wait till this world expands more and more.

I think there is easier way in vista and 7, but I'm not sure how.
