I was traveling in my Let's Play (Selfish advertising: It's in my sig, episode 6) and I came across an enormous tundra. In addition to that, the forest and grasslands biomes seem similarly increased. Deserts seem as small as ever, but that is the only real small biome I've found. It took nearly to days to cross it and I am only just now getting out of it (Which will be the next episode...).
So my question is, did Notch give in and expand biomes like we wanted? Did I just hit the luck jackpot and find several snow/tundra biomes back to back to back?

I think biome size is random. so they can be big one time, and small the next. Small deserts? deserts are huge sometimes! jsut the other day i got lost in one xD

I love Blizzard, but god help me, WoW is a giant money engine that uses human souls as fuel.

I made a new world a few days ago and it was just desert for miles and miles. Had to walk like 10 minutes in a straight line to get out of it.
I have a massive tundra/arctic biome on my main world that's something around 1000 blocks across, while the rest of the map is more or less a random patchwork of 30-60 meter-wide sections of biomes.
So my question is, did Notch give in and expand biomes like we wanted? Did I just hit the luck jackpot and find several snow/tundra biomes back to back to back?
