Sounds really cool :smile.gif: I was having trouble making a 1 block entrance what did you do?
Let's see...
The one open block is at eye level. Instead of using half steps at the base, I dug on square below ground level to control lava flow and simply used normal stone. That way, you don't need the additional adjacent squares for the half steps.

I just killed a Creeper with a TNT explosion. I feel good.
1. Place TNT on ground
2. Place pressure plate on top of it
3. Lure Creeper
4. ????
5. REVENGE
6. PROFIT!
Mind if I copy your building? I really like the design, it feels so open.
It's a good thing you asked. Never know when he might stumble into your computer and see that you copied his building design without asking. I mean, wow... THAT would be embarrassing. *whew*
On topic... learning that you can teleport through lava and water with this method is an interesting bit of information, but the fact that this type of "door" has gained popularity is strong evidence that people are getting desperate for new ideas.

On topic, I'd never seen a lava door before, That's really neat!
Sure :smile.gif: Yeah I really like the design, especially with the glass, it just feels more roomy, plus the patterns the light makes I think are pretty cool.
As for the guy above, yeah It is an interesting tip, and I'm sure once we mess with it some more we can find cooler ways to produce the teleporting effect. I personally think this is a lot cooler than a regular door, just something different, but I do agree that people are getting desperate for new Ideas. I know I am, I've made so much stuff in Minecraft but what I'm really looking for is new Ideas on ways to make my house more interesting + Realistic. I saw this and thought it was cool and make my own design, but I think the only way to get a lot of new ideas popping up Notch is going to need to add some more customization/blocks.

I wonder if you could use the same teleportation effect through the small crack created when you use a hoe on a dirt block. Simply create a dirt wall, put in a crack at eye level, and a minecart on the other side.

That is a very interesting idea, Imma go try that later :smile.gif:

What would be the point in having both doors in one house? That would take up a lot of space.
