I have recently found a skeleton dungeon and decided to convert it into an arrow-maker, by putting channels of water and the standard mob trap mechanics.
It works, but after a little while, the monsters stop spawning. And when I look into the spawning room, (by braking a few blocks) they start spawning again. This is kind of strange. I want it to work AFK but at the moment this isn't happening. Any help?
I still have this weird problem. After a little while the spawner stops working. I went into the spawning room, and nothing. I went right up to the spawner for like 3 minutes and it's not even spawning. No light in the room. Weird, eh? Any ideas?

It ran out of bodies and bones to fuel it. You need to sacrifice yourself for it to run again.

Read that topic. It tells you all about how mobs spawn, and it may help you ^^
I don't think that applies to mob spawners, only natural spawns.
