I just posted onto Youtube to give a very brief walkthrough of the compound that I have been working on. I thought that I would also share it here for people to see.
This is from my description of the movie,
This is a very quick rough walk-through of the compound that I have been constructing in Minecraft, the indie game created by Notch. I have been working on this site primarily since purchasing the game but have no clue as to the actual time spent creating it as it has had several renditions in between massive periods of construction.
I hope that it is obvious that I have used InvEdit for large quantities of Obsidian, Lava, Gold, etc. In other words some of the more difficult items to procure in such large amounts.
I have also used MCEdit to remove the compound from its original map and transplant it onto one that was not scarred with my massive mining operations.
Were I to actually try to describe just how much of this was made by hand I'm not sure many would believe me.
It is important to note that I am using a custom texture package compilation taken from the works of Misa, John Smith, Doku, and Glimmar. These were then further edited by me to create the package I use now. If I can figure out all of the sources I used to create it then I will upload it if there is interest. I would also be willing to upload either the entire map or the MCEdit Schematic file of the compound if there is interest. I will not post it until it is complete, however.
The map features a double layered lava and obsidian wall with a a steep drop into the water. It has, a stargate, pyramid, water fountains, multiple working water elevators, massive amounts of storage, large forests, and is frankly quite big.
If anyone has feedback I will be checking on the thread. As I said in the movie description, if people want the map I will upload it but only once its done. The same goes with my texture pack compilation but only after i can credit everyone i borrowed from. Thanks.

Sometimes when I touch my bellybutton I can feel it in my peenee.
The pack is glimmar's steampunk, I know that from it's my favorite.
Ihat base is brilliant, but why didn't you make it so you could get on the outer walls?
Thanks for the name on that texture pack. I have it properly linked for credit now.
You actually can get on top of the walls. The water elevator in the middle of the map shoots you up to a platform from which you can run to either side wall. I have plans to add a pathway to the main entrance as well. I will construct a command post there which will have a clear vantage point over the entrance. From this location you will be able to trigger explosives on the planned bridge as well as an explosion to release a reservoir of lava thus closing off the entire compound.
