picks into shape, this is the thread you've been looking for. Minecraft has spread in popularity, its creator "Notch" has made over $200,000 of this Epic game! So grab your fists and lets journey into our realm of Minecraft.
The First Night
Your first few nights are commonly the worst, usually because of the untamed booming wildlife. You will commonly find a good amount of raw resources around you spawn. When you Generate a new world you will most likely start in one of three places.
A. Beside the beach
B. In a desert
C. On a Sand island.
Why these you ask? Well, each of these environments each contain sand. You always spawn on sand no matter what. So, moving on. You should most likely see a tree in range. If not make sure your render distance is on far. Also go ahead and change settings to fit your comfort. Now if you don't find a tree your first priority will be to find some. Once found go up to the tree. Hold down your left mouse button on it. It should slowly break down into a tiny piece. Collect it by walking over to it. I usually start with around 18 wood.
So, by now you've probably noticed that block in the sky, the animals on the ground, and your hand has no fingers. First, the block in the sky is the sun, it s rises and sets as regular. Night and day. Except night isn't as enjoyable. Night is the time where monsters come out and feast on your stupid brains. So to prevent that we need a shelter, and to get that we need picks, which to get we need wood.(Lulz) So lets hurry! Now if you haven't known press I to open inventory. You see and 2x2 crafting panel, a large amount of blocks of space, and a Idiot staring at your mouse. That idiot is you.
So lets move on! Place the wooden blocks you've collected into the 2x2 crafting panel. Another type of block should appear in the box next to it, click that. It gives you four refined wood. Now, you could click all day, or click that thing wildly until it gives you 64, place that into your inventory and whatever more wood you get. Now place 4 wood into each of those blocks. It gives you a crafting bench.
Ex.
So grab the bench and put it into your hotbar. Then press I again to escape the inventory screen. Scroll to the crafting bench and right click to place it. Now.....click the bench. Now you see a 3x3 crafting panel. So now we need sticks! Place the planks (Refined wood) into the panels as shown.

Now, grab your sticks. Make about 8 sticks. Now we need a pick. I usually make two picks. Place as shown.

And grab the wooden pick. Put that into your hotbar. So, we are halfway done. Look up to check the sun, it should be high noon. Plenty of time.
Now begins our quest for coal. Search the areas for coal, ( ) your should look for it at the mouths of caves
and cliff faces. Once you find some, wield your pick and go up to the coal. Mine it with left click and hold. Great! Find about 10 coal. So now lets find a shelter. Go search the area for what suits you. You can mine into a wall to make a little cave to stay in, or dig a hole with space at the bottom. Whatever suits you. Once you've finished that you should notice that night it starting. So lets make our most important resource.

Now your about done! Grab your torches! Place them on walls to produce light! Also make sure that you are safe from danger, make a little cubby or completely enclose yourself with wood and scatter torches for maximum security. Now all you need to do it wait out the night! You can sometimes watch the fights of monsters and epic moments! Thanks!

1. You don't always spawn on sand. You can spawn on clay, dirt, and even leaves.
2. Turning your render distance on "far" lags some computers.
3. Making two wooden picks is... USELESS. GET 3 STONE, THROW AWAY WOOD PICK, USE STONE PICK. NO NEED FOR WOOD PICKS, EVER.
4. If this is a tutorial for new players, you did extremely ****. You didn't mention monsters, how to play the game, what this weird shrub thing I got from these green dots is, nothing. Okay, sure, you kind of mentioned that monsters exist, that you destroy blocks with the left click, but if I were new to the game this wouldn't help me in any ****ing way. What's this red stuff? When I punched a sheep, it dropped white blocks, why? I killed a pig, it dropped some kind of pink bag...
