I woke up to feel the sun on my face. I stretched but I soon discovered I was not in my bed. I looked around to discover I was on a beach. Dazed, I became lost in thought. I reached a conclusion; I must be dreaming, but soon was proved wrong as I tried multiple reality checks.
Hearing a squawk, I turned around. There, directly in front of me was a wild chicken. Curiously, (as I had never seen a chicken before,) I reached fowards to touch it. To my shock, it let me pat it. I had found a companion!
After wandering for a while, it dawned upon me that it would not be daytime forever. I needed somewhere to shelter for the night. I found a strong fresh stick on the ground under a large tree and wondered what do do.
Soon i discovered I had my carving knife from the previous day, and I used it to shape another stick into an axehead and it stuck to the stick like a magnet and it stayed there, no nails or glue. I did it again and eventually I had a shovel, an axe, a spear (For wild animals), and a pickaxe (should I ever decide to go underground). I began to gather wood for my shack, being watched by the chicken.
Once I finished I made a door with hinges using the same strange magnetic force.
I went in, and as the sun began to sink below the horizon, the chicken pecked on the door, so I let it in.
The shelter was very uncomfortable and my claustrophobia didn't help either. My only comfort was the soft quiet clucking of the hen. Once it was truly dark I was woken by a growl that filled my mind with fear. It came again and I knew I wasn't safe. The chicken gave a cluck and nuzzled up against me as if to reassure itself I was still in there.

I slept no more.
