So when I made a post in the Elites of Minecraft: The Miner thread, featherblade responded with a statement about how, when I was finding more ore than usual, I must have been in the "rich south west region," which he said held statistically more ore. He didn't give any further details, however.
Does anyone else here know anything about this, or what he might have meant? Is it a rich south west region in terms of each chunk, or an entire map somehow?
If I had to guess, I'd say he was trolling. I've never heard of any such thing. Not that I've been around forever. The few mining guides I've read reveal all sorts of tricks to getting the most ore, but none reference any sort of region of increased yield. Just branch out above the lava pools. That's the closest thing I've heard to a "rich southwest region."
