UMG I IS SO PISSED THAT MY BEST WORLD HAS NOW BEEN RUINED BY SOME FRIGGIN' LAVA EEEEEEEEEEEEE.
*turns caps lock off*
I finally found my first cave system in a new world that I was building my Snow Palace at the time. I had 36 pieces of iron to bring to the surface, and I saved by a lava pool on a cobblestone bridge I made, heading for my first pieces of diamond, ever.
Now I loaded up my third World, and looked away from the screen while it was loading to see a bit of that 19 Kids and Counting show that my sister was watching. The kids in the show were in a glass factory and in the interview one of them said "They were making the glass with lots of fire!"
Speaking of fire...
I turned back to the screen and the game was red. "Game Over!"
I had somehow fallen in the fire and the cobblestone somehow didn't help me when I needed it the most.
I lost all of my materials, but at least I'm close by to my original palace so I don't need to wander around. I am just so freaking mad that the cobblestone never helped me. Why didn't it load me on top of the cobblestone? There were no slimes to push me in; I had my sound on.
Could this been a glitch that was sent in by Notch to torture me in my highest moment? D:
This sure demotivates my project progress... :sad.gif:

Its like going to a police station telling them how you stole a purse and demonstrating it, while arguing the benefits of it. You'd still go to jail because you're an idiot.
I've occasionally spawned in and promptly fallen through the first block I was standing on. This hasn't caused any fatalities yet, but I make a point of standing somewhere safe when I leave the game.
It's not a twitter post, it's an annoying glitch report that I wish to learn more about! D:<

Occationally, when you load the game, it does not fully "load" every chunk, so when you start up the game, you find yourself in an empty world, falling. Once the chuncks actually load, however, you might be falling before the actual blocks are loaded, causing you to be bumped down one or two blocks. Very, very annoying. (Please, correct any of this if it is wrong)

When you load a world, sometimes you will be spawned inside the block you are standing on. If there is not a block below this block, you will fall through. In your case, into lava. And because of this, you should double your bridges and floors if you are planning on logging out on them. And carrying your materials around may not be the best idea. Make a treasury (Out of obsidian, because it is creeper proof and cool looking) and expand it vertically and place chests on multiple floors with ladders for storing purposes just because it looks awesome.
TL;DR, stuff happens, double-stack your flooring, log out in safe places, don't carry materials around with you.
I'm not sure why so many people tread this thread so badly, I can understand a few threads I've seen where it's like
"Today I found four diamonds, yay me" -- now that kinda of thread I can understand people to tell them go cry on Twitter. But this is actually a decent amount of writing that if you have the time read and reply.
As said on the forum description for Minecraft Alpha "Discuss the current alpha version of Minecraft here."
She discussed it with a decent amount of writing and pointed out a glitch. If you're not happy with people make these threads make a thread crying about it.
On the note of the glitch, she may be wanting a reply by someone else who has experienced the same thing as her and they can discuss it more rather than people telling them to take their thread somewhere else. I mean where else to you post a thread about a experience you had in Minecraft Alpha.

Incorrect, it was a bunch of filler worth of "Cool Story Bro" and a whine. I do not see anywhere an appeal for wtf happened, simply complaining & crying. No discussion at all. No appeal for help.

What do you want us to do, empathize?
You don't have the empathize, but you can say that its happen to yourself and how much it has sucked loosing your creation or what caused it for yourself. To me it sounds like we have a discussion going. Sure it is a bit of a whine here, whine there. But is that forbidden from the forums, the only rule this thread might come close to breaking is the "Post Redundant Threads" as someone has posted about loosing everything/creation in fire before.
But hey we're all open to our opinion and this is just mine :wink.gif:

Well, of course he does, I mean, he's his own glitch.
