Well this might of happened a few days ago but I may of accidentally spliced 2+ worlds together. One week ago my computer turned off on my favorite world deleting it, I freaked out but luckily I made a backup and I put that in my saves folder but, for some reason it still wouldn't say I had a world on World 3. I loaded up a few world 3 maps trying to find a good one I never did but one was a Ice World which I tried to save and it wouldn't and I tried to save one other normal world.
I went back on 3 days ago and my World 3 was back! It was right at my last save which was perfect, it wasn't until today when I did a Cartograph of it did it look funny here is the original picture

As you can see to the east it doesn't look quite right, especially in the top right corner. I went on an exploration over there to find out that the eastern part..... its all snow! Yet it is not snowing out at all? I also found some clay which I was very happy about. Here is the map after I have gone over to my snowy region.
It doesn't look like much changed but I did discover something there is a pretty giant wall of stone which i did go over into and surprisingly, there was no snow over there. Very Very tall mountain ranges though I can say that. I am determined to go to the north east corner and find out what is going on over there.
Now I need to ask everybody am I just stupid and all of this is a natural part of the rendering, or did I actually "splice" worlds together?
I made a batch file that I double click before every session. It saves all my worlds onto my desktop. Right click desktop, "New->Text Document", paste the following text in and save as "MC Backup.bat":
=== Start after this line
xcopy /q /s /y /i "%APPDATA%\.minecraft\saves" "%USERPROFILE%\desktop"
pause
=== Stop at above line
If your save gets jacked - which WILL happen, this is alpha - copy all the World folders from your desktop into %APPDATA%\.minecraft\saves
Be sure to run the batch file before every time you play... I lost 2 days' work one time from not backing up and it made me delete that world.
