are you all gonna make a new thread each time Notch speak on the blog ugh ?
Thank god people don't make a new thread each time he say something on twiter >.<
I can sense LightWarriorK facepalming on his desk each time he look at the forum.

No, just when he makes a major update of infdev :wink.gif:

There are two types of people in the world: those who don't find this joke funny and those who are amused by self-referential humour.

Could you guys go five minutes without sigging me?
He wasn't lying when he wrote that there's a lot of mobs! I had 4-5 zombies, 2 creepers, 2 skellys and a spider running around below my very quickly built mini tower. Sometimes a skelly got the bright idea to back off a bit and snipe me, forcing me to try and find a new corner of the mini tower to hide in. It was 3x4 in size, 4 blocks above ground. I didn't have enough resources to defend myself or make the tower better, it was quickly built after I was ambushed by two zombies 10 seconds after the level was generated.
I was sniped to death before the morning came to my rescue.

Hex editing reality to give us infinite grenades Hurry notch, you glorious bearded *******! - Kilbas
Decided I'd start a new map from scratch for the update. As I write this I'm currently buried in a 1x2 hole in the ground with 1 block of dirt above me the only thing separating me from what sounds like a dozen monsters. Where's the sun? *sob*
I actually had a nice dirt hut built, but 3 or 4 creepers had something to say about that.

College Computer (Pentium 4 3.0 GHZ with 1 to 2 GB of RAM with an ATI Video Card):
Before Update: 180 FPS at TINY
Now: 1-20 FPS during the DAY and 1-5 FPS during the NIGHT (Regardless of the difficulty)
Home Computer (Quad Core 2.4 GHZ with 4 GB of RAM with an ATI HD 3650 Pro)
Before Update: 150-300 FPS at maximum fog range
Now: 10-150 FPS during DAY, about the same during the NIGHT.
And I started a new game and I found myself on a beach, a forest was near it... I went in and OMG! I never saw an army of mob THAT big! I quickly ran outside the forest and I started to build myself a nice home on the beach.
Ho and Alphasoldier, I lol'd at your post xD I'm starting to be scared of these little animals now D:.
A pig just jumped off my tower, scared the crap out of me.
Wow. I haven't seen any creepers yet, however.
No pork stacking...
Oh god my castle is now a farm. GET OUT.
Night, looks like we got some creepers and GOD ZOMBIE BEHIND ME
RUN RUN RUN TO THE TOP OF THE TOWER AH THEY'RE CHASING ME GOD NO
I killed them all and lived to tell the tale, although it is still night. It seems those creepers are everywhere...
AH I FELL OFF A CLIFF into water, good good, AH NO CREEPERS ARE FALLING DOWN ON ME JUST DIE CREEPERS DIE!
I died twice, I was mugged by a creeper and two skelleys, and then respawned, got on land, and a spider jumped at me, then I respawned, made it through the dark woods to find my fortress taken over by monsters. I jumped in, got my stuff, ran away, and came back to find just creepers which I killed.
This is the best mode ever, I'm going to be doing a live playthrough tonight on my livestream.
I love this.
I have a system, I mine one day, the full day, then I fend the night, killing anything that comes by my fortress. Then the morning, I kill off all the monsters, and then start repairing and building with everything I got the previous day. Rinse, repeat.
See, no construction during night. Too many monsters.
There's a hole on top of my underground quarry to let light in, but it seems that stuff is falling in. It's high enough up to kill them when they fall, but the skellys shoot arrows as they fall down, and I am expecting to have a couple deaths related to that.
So yeah, to state the obvious, mobs are a-plenty, it would be nice if this were to be fixed, but I'd say make it an option. =D
So the option would be: Amount of mobs: None-Little-Normal-Lots-Overpopulation
I think a lot of people would want this option seeing this would be a nice variable to this game.
And yes I know it's not a suggestion thread but I thought I'd just throw it out there. ^^
The screen shot. It is black.
I used to hate creepers because they always blew up whatever I was building. Now I hate building in general. This update is both amazing and terrible. That's just awesome.

STILL OMEGA LAG. What's weird is that the worst lag I get is whenever I change the landscape. If I remove or add a block it will freeze anywhere from 1 to 3 seconds.

New MC player here, only been here about a week, lurking and reading. I opened one of my infdev worlds where my point of origin was down on a beach under a tall cliff. I have to say, I do love the new "bacon from the sky" feature in the last update. I'll be going along, working, and suddenly... pigs, falling off the cliff overhead! I just wish the meat was stackable.

You can stack it when it's cooked, simply by leaving the cooked meat in the "output slot" in the furnace when cooking new pieces. It'll be nice if it eventually stacks raw though.

No longer works, the meat won't cook whilst there is an item in the output slot.

Sounds like the black shadow glitch is gone for good *crosses fingers*

:sad.gif: I ended up trapped on a pillar of random blocks as there were too many mobs D:
*curled up shivering*
