I agree with PvE because not only are you fighting the animals an monsters to survive you are fighting the Environment not to get crushed by ninja gravel :smile.gif:.
Since minecraft is such an original game, it should get an original term for this. Much like spore calls itself a msog (massively singleplayer online game)

I vote for:
PvS - Player versus Survival
That would imply you are battling against surviving...
PvE is sufficient, and a more widely used term. Use which ever term you feel is appropriate.
What should we generally call it? Player versus Environment (More of Guild Wars/World of Warcraft) or Player versus Monster/Mob?
In my opinion, PvE is sounds better. It's used in many multiplayer games and just sounds better.
People here on Minecraft forums call it PvM, why is that?

most MMO's use PVE, not because its Player VS Environment, because its Player VS Enemies.
Orly? Guild Wars says else!

The correct term is Player vs Environment, because in a PvE server you're not allowed to attack other players, whether they might be enemies or not.
PVE=WIN
Um, what wiki were you reading? Because it was wrong. It's always been Player Vs Environment, not Enemies.

Ok, more seriously I never even heard anyone call it PVM before so PVE for me.
