Obsidian is kind of broken. The idea is wicked but the issue is that it stops it on the wrong side and so when you launch it... Well it just goes back in the chest LOL.
You want to have the Obsidian to stop it on the opposite side it came from so when you launch it then it keeps going.
Can I see a picture? I'm not sure I understand the problem.
OH. That's because of the NESW rule. If you flipped the design around so that the chest was from the other side it would work.

First off, this mod is awesome. Secondly, Is there a way you could add the ability to destroy/return the cart by some other means? There's another script out there that lets you right-click the cart while holding a stick and returns the cart to the pick-upable form. But it uses the jj.class file so I can't run it at the same time, or at least I don't know how to.
Running over a pressure plate while riding in the cart causes my client to disconnect with the message, "Internal Server Error" and the following error to logged in the server console:

Yes, it's a known error with servers - oddly enough it has nothing to do with this mod and is related to health. (Lava and Cactuses cause the same error). You'll have to wait till notch fixes it, and avoid being in minecarts near chests. Fortuantly, all it does is kick the client, and no server damage.

You could put track up to a chest, and push minecarts into chests. :wink.gif:
Well I seem to be having troubles with this mod. 15 slow sands apparently have no affect on a boosted cart, and the cart just glides over it like nothing happened. Unpowered obsidian doesn't catch carts either, nor does it launch them. The only thing that seems to work is boosters and pressure pads acting as tracks.
Loving this mod, really helps with my fast travel system! Sadly I have one tiny little "bug" that I would love fixed ): Currently pressure plates on obsidian do not stop the cart, this gives me a lot of problems because i can not make carts that return to properpositions when players get out!
Just wanted to take the time to say that this is really an amazing mod, and I hope Notch incorporates it into a future update; it just makes so much sense. Me and a few others on a server have spent pretty much the entire day working on a huge transportation system with the mod, and it's been very successful :biggrin.gif:

- A super slowing (but not stopping) block. We often need 4 slowsands in a row to slow the cart down enough before hitting the chest, and then the cart stops entirely. We'd love a block that would be guaranteed to slow the cart down to, say, a quarter of walking speed.
- I'm not sure if you can do anything about this, but it'd be great you could somehow fix/get around the not being able to push a button in the cart problem. We have a couple of methods using levers and indicator lights, but nothing that would be as slick as a simple button.

I can't get this mod to work on any Server Wrapper for some reason... after I put it in the server never boots up properly. Even tried deleting the META folder or whatever. :[ This sucks, This mod could revolutionize my server.
i must admit the NESW rule needs fixing some way to pick is much much needed Asking you to read a sign is a but unfair it took hey0 and his team a week or so to work that out. maybe just a torch on the side of a spercific block beside the thing ur setting it for. like a gold block next to idk a chest with a torch on the East side would override the NESW Rule and make it only go east.
Have u fixed the Chest despensing carts issue coz I finally got it working last release and it all seemed to work ok bar the fact chest did despense carts when powerd. prob due to us not understanding what you mean on its use.
How do u get the chest to spit out the cart coz we have chest hooked up to be a catch and release system but it never did despense a thing.

We had the same issue at first... In ours, we had one block level with the bottom of the chest where the carts are dispensed and then we had a downward hill. It seems that this is not enough track for the cart to be properly dispensed. So, we leveled-off an additional block and everything started working well.
We then made the block that is adjacent to the dispensing side of the chest obsidian and attached a redstone torch (always on) this would cause the cart to get launched out of the chest where it moves around to the platform with another obsidian block to catch it. From there, we hop in, hit the button and go for a ride! :smile.gif:
So yeah, if you are using an incline or decline right outside of the chest or even 1 block away, the chest then just eats carts! (Seriously, I put a stack in the chest, hit the button, nothing came out, looked in the chest and found nothing in there! I wonder where all those phantom carts went....) :wink.gif:

I use McMyAdmin and just drop the .class files into the Addons folder and it works perfectly. I also have hey0 and LlamaMod files.
