If you don't know what the MCAdmin issue is, you can either read all threads that you find with a search for MCAdmin or reading the posts on reddit.
Now about my statement: First of all, what I did was undoubtfully wrong, badly wrong.
What did I precisely do? Multiple things...
[*:162zozzr]I made myself unbannable as well as unkickable form all MCAdmin powered servers
[*:162zozzr]I added a hidden developer mode into MCAdmin which allowed me to gain the same ingame powers as the server owner (I could, at no point, take control over anything beyond the Minecraft server and MCAdmin itself)
[*:162zozzr]I put a killswitch into MCAdmin which allowed me to remotely disable people from using MCAdmin (they could, however, still run a vanilla server or any other admin tool or modification)
[*:162zozzr]I global banned a guy (Bradster) and a guy on his server (BlaqSheep) for insulting me (on his own server) [he cut these parts out of the chatlog. I however have no proof of this and you got no reason to believe me]
Why did I do these things?
[*:162zozzr]First of all, the power sort of corrupted me, I got power hungry
[*:162zozzr]Second, the unkickable and unbannable feature was added due to some servers banning me for hacking (this is due to me having a pink [Dev] tag on all MCAdmin powered servers so people recognize me, they thought I hacked it in)
[*:162zozzr]Third, I had the stupid opinion of being the person in control of who uses my software and who doesn't
[*:162zozzr]I globally banned bradtser for insulting users (in this case, me). After realizing I made a stupid decision I unbanned him but left BlaqSheep banned. Then I told him how to disable the global banlist so that guy is able to join the server again. After this, he continued going on about how I should not control anything on his server and continued insulting me, so I used the killswitch to shut his server down.
But I heard you....?
Many things get modified or misunderstood when they are told from one person to another, so in the end that might have resulted in some accidentially false claims.
The claim I could run any code on your server originates from me mentioning the possibility of including malicious code into the MCAdmin.exe and then distributing it via global update. So, yes, I *could*, but I never did.
How did people even get to analyze your code and search for all this?
Becuase of me killswitching Bradster's server and him posting this on the forums. I am not saying its his fault I am where I am now. Its purely my fault, I am just explaining how the story came to this point where it is now.
What I did was wrong, and I cannot expect anyone to forgive me this mistake ever.
I wronged the whole community.
But I hope I can rebuild my trust by continuing development on MCAdmin and making it open-source so experienced coders can verify it is now free of such backdoors as they were called.
I know rebuilding trust will take time, but I am willing to go through this to restore my reputation.
I am very thankful to those servers who still use MCAdmin and appreciate that they still trust me enough to run binary files made by me.
So why am I posting this now and not earlier?
I did post something like this earlier, it just disappeared in all the flaming and (legitimate) complaints.
Okay, so, I am reading these flaws/backdoors still exist?
No, they do not exist, not like they existed. You can ban/kick me on your MCAdmin server. I have no way of remotely shutting it down.
I still could ban you via the global banlist, BUT MCAdmin asks now on the first run whether to enable the global banlist or not. And I have decided I will not interfere manually with the global ban system anymore. I will let it all run fully automated and might just exclude servers from submitting bans if they massban users without any valid reason.
Devmode does also still exist in the code, but it asks you (the server owner) for permission now if any developer wants to enter it.
Also people are talking of how "everyone could take my name and use it".
For once, you are asked, just decline if you are unsure.
Secondly, this can only happen if someone hacks my account OR your disabled name verification (aka run the server in offline mode). WARNING: This mode makes it possible that anyone joins under *your* name and takes over your server, so don't think me making devmode restricted makes you able to safely run in offline mode. Even Notch knows about this and makes the server output a big warning if its ran in offline mode!
I'd continue running your server for now, but I can't - when I start it up it crashes. Behind the 'MCAdmin has stopped working' message is a little dialog box about running MCAdmin for the first time (which is wrong, i've been running it for weeks).
I've already tried rebooting and re-downloading the files.

Although this thread is not for bug repots: Looking into it, stay tuned.
Added explanation of the current situation to OP. Will repeat it here:

I still don't approve of any of it and as a server admin will never use any software you have developed. Also I am surprised that no action has been taken against you for distributing essentially malware on the forums, just because you updated it, doesn't mean you didn't do it in the first place.
Also, reddit doesn't help your cause...
Normally I'd be skeptical that this is the same guy, however, there are definitely links between the two potentially separate Doridians:
We can see from the conversation between FullDisclosure/PhonicUK that Doridian did some hacky stuff, here is the direct quote:
03:28 Doridian thats mainly due to i love coding hax/hacky stuff
Doridian is an active GMod/Wiremod user. Here is his Wiremod forum profile. The avatar is the same, no doubt about the connection there.
Here is Doridian's Twitter account talking about SRCDS (source dedicated server) exploits back in August 2009 (a few months before this **** from hak5). Again, he has the same avatar so the connection is pretty much guaranteed. Here is another twitter update about another GMod exploit.
As the hak5 posting mentions, this same exploit was used by the same two users on the official Wiremod servers. Doridian was a known contributor to the Wiremod community. As you can see on this page (Ctrl+F "Doridian")
Doridian's Steam ID from his garry's mod profile (ID: STEAM_0:0:5394890) matches these two steam logs I found on google that show this Steam ID using the alias Doridian {SA-A} that you can see in the hak5.org logs.
Here is another file of steam logs talking about a user named Doridian uploading files to a GMod server that allowed him to **** with admin settings. Ctrl+F "Doridian" gets to a set of dialog:
[08]The1: 2 guy's uploaded files to the server
[08]The1: made themselves super admin's ect?
[08]<TOFK>Tetsuoken: One of them was Doridian I believe
[08]The1: yeah
The FULL logs from the hak5.org post, straight from McBuilds (a garry's mod community apparently).... **** this guy in the neck.
Taken from a poster on this reddit article, yeah take it with a grain of salt but I know what I believe.

I know Doridian personally, the reference to "Hax/hacky stuff" means things along the lines of aimbots, ingame cheating, and things of the like. He doesn't mean that he likes to "hack" servers or anything like that. As for the McBuild's incident, he was involved in that, but if you read the logs Effectiv did the damage, Doridian was trying to point out the security hole and made the mistake of trusting Effectiv with any power like that. Effectiv is well.. an asshole, ask anyone that's involved in the Spaceage community. Dori told Effectiv to stop what he was doing multiple times in the log, he shouldn't have done it in the first place, but it started with good intentions.
Recriminations are clever and all, I just want a working server. If I have to reconfigure it all in hey0 for the intermin, I'll probably just stay with hey0, which is a shame because I like MCAdmin as a piece of software.
I am annoyed by what happened this week but I'd say the issue has been addressed, the dev has learned a lesson and it's time to move on. All developers make mistakes and do dumb things, I know I have, but the important part is fixing those mistakes, admiting fault and getting on with it. If you're not comfortable with the fix, go and use other software. I'm not 100% happy and have considered switching but I'm amused to see how things work out and I genuinely find MCAdmin to be a useful piece of kit.
To all the people threatening litigation, legal action and violence, you're a bunch of brainless cocks. Grow up and get on with life.
It's easy to hide behind a monitor and pull the stuff you did, but it's not so easy to accept responsibility and apologize... At least not in a way that sounds sincere. Everybody does stupid ****. Some more often than others, some things more public than others. Part of life. Good for you for doing what you can to fix things.
People are rightfully angry with him, but I think at this point it's time to let it go. The whole situation sucked but the problem is solved now and this guy is going to be under constant scrutiny by the community from now on; I think the chances of something happening again are extremely low.
Good on you for apologizing, but I'm not trusting your mods anymore. If you did it once you can very well do it again.
Plus, I mistrust furries.
This is stupid. Why can't we just have a discussion about the software (Maybe even his integrity) without bringing personal things into it like this? How we feel about his personal choices are totally irrelevant to the subject at hand and it makes you look like an idiot. Do I think he's learned his lesson? Probably. Will I use MCAdmin? Never, but it's solely based on his choices as a programmer. I could not give two shits about what he does on his own personal time. Grow up and quit trying to degrade what at least appears to be a civil attempt on his part to save his application. All you're going to do is get this topic locked.
EDIT:
I know there are mods than want this topic to go away anyway, but I think it's important that people who are searching for a wrapper to be completely informed as to what they are putting on their computers. I do commend him to at least trying to take responsibility. I'm not privy to all his motives, but I do believe that a lot of it is him wanting to be able to continue in a community he enjoys playing a game he enjoys. Sure, he's horribly damaged his reputation, but I believe that in time, he may be able to prove himself again.
Also I am surprised that no action has been taken against you for distributing essentially malware on the forums, just because you updated it, doesn't mean you didn't do it in the first place.
This is exactly it, right here. Why is this user still allowed on the forum, and to distribute code on the forum? This guy knowingly and purposefully created and distributed malware to exploit the minecraft server application. That there is no repercussion for this makes me concerned that the next person to get it in their head to try something along these lines will assume that no harm can come to them for it.
This guy broke the law, broke our trust, and should be held accountable for that.
Feels like one of those half-apologies celebrities give after getting caught doing something wrong.
By the way, Doridian, in the thread you're posting this because of, people don't hate you for no reason, nor do they hate you because you're non-conformist, not even for just being a furry. They hate you because you're an arrogant douchebag with a holier-than-thou attitude. Your actions with MCAdmin have proved this. It feels like it hasn't even sunk in yet that you BANNED A MAN FROM HIS OWN SERVER. Read that again, Doridian. You banned a man from his own server. There's no justification for it, there's no "but," nothing. And after unbanning him, you yourself said, "After this, he continued going on about how I should not control anything on his server and continued insulting me, so I used the killswitch to shut his server down." He had every right to insult you for the stunt you had pulled. And instead of taking it like a man, apologizing, and leaving, you shut down his server like a child. You took down somebody else's server just because they were insulting you and had a damn good reason to.
Grow up, Doridian. People may forgive, but they won't forget.
Also, I don't hate you for being a furry. I think that's just icing on the hate-cake. I'd bet a lot of people feel like that as well.
Mod edit: This comment insults another forum user and has been posted only to flame. Please feel free to read up on the rules; flaming/insulting is not allowed here. A warning will be given for this post.
I like how someone can apologize publicly and then a mass of people berate them for their apology being fake, or not good enough, or saying they should apologize, or that apologies are worthless. I understand that there's no way to stop people from getting worked up over wrongdoing, but it would be nice if everyone who's about to post something hateful or argumentative would just take a step back and level out for a bit.
I wasn't looking to berate him or and its not that I don't appreciate the apology. I think that just because he made changes and said sorry to fix something he shouldn't have done in the first place doesn't mean all is well and good. I just wanted to inform people and let them make their own opinions. Take it how you will.
His flaw was in the ability to control the minecraft server, and nothing more.
No, his transgression was in creating this as a backdoor, hiding it from the server admins using his mod. That he also abused it - and it sounds like not just once, others have reported mysterious crashes after someone mysteriously showed up with a [dev] tag on their name - is way beyond what should be tolerated.
I can't believe the forum staff have let him off on this. That act discredits this forum, not that one guy abused it. I've seen multiple users get banned here for "flaming", but malware is OK?
It seems to me like Doridian's transgressions have been neatly outlined in his first post in this thread. He's summarized it conveniently, and posted to apologize. I see no need for anyone to continue to discuss how or why he was wrong, or to make statements about how you feel about him as a person. Personally, I can't imagine any legitimate reply to this thread except accepting the apology, or maybe explaining that it's not enough to restore trust and that you'll be moving on to other programs.
There are probably more legitimate reasons to post in this thread, and that's fine, but I would like to see posts that at least look like their legitimacy was Considered before posting.
I'd like to be frank and forward my theory that his software hasn't been removed from the site because Doridian has donated to the forums and the Wiki and there is thus money politics involved.
If such is the case, and this is why his disturbingly gross breach of trust is being glossed over strongly by the admins in these parts, then I must say I am very, very disappointed in the operators of mf.net.
I really can't fathom any other reason as to why the people who have the ability to remove MCAdmin from various software lists are not doing so, and are instead choosing to simply ignore what would in many countries be a criminal offense. Thus I can only presume that such is the case, though I heartily welcome a reasoned and believable explanation otherwise from those involved to prove me wrong.
Needless to say, I'll be sponsoring the site/wiki posthast to ensure that I don't get banned for leveling such an accusation. It Would be unfortunate to lose access to a site that I've been visiting since it launched.
