Guild suggestions.
Peasant. No bonuses or detriments.
Druid. Increased spell power, instant sapplings, can't break trees. Very Defensive spells (healing, armor improvement, ect;)
Woodsman. Bows and Axes do slightly more damage and last longer. Chop time reduced slightly. Slower mining abilities.
Farmer. Increased crop output, faster crop grow times. Neutral
Raider. All weapons do more damage, but mining, farming, and woodgathering is significantly hindered.
Miner. Increased damage from pickaxes, increased mining speed, hindered wood gathering and farming
Warlock. Casts mostly offensive spells, hindered Mining and Wood Gathering, farming remains the same.
Craftsman. All crafting has a 25% chance to give you 25% extra of the item crafted (rounded up).
It would balance out I think. Raiders and Warlocks would be main ones to try and attack so that they can survive/prosper. Miners, Woodsmen, and Farmers would fuel the markets. Craftsmen would be a large industrial power. Druids would be a large defensive force in a battle.
I think you might find this hit registration system handles poorly when tested by people not hosting the server (i.e. latency >50).
Perhaps add some sort of system to handle latency? Figure out someones latency when they log in and factor in where that player would see other players on their screen when they clicked X latency ago.
I'd imagine the other solution to this is people with higher latency play less angle/aim specific 'roles' (Pyromancer, etc.)
But I do think the RPG stuff is interesting too.

I've got all the main ones; Skype, vent, ts3, google talk, oovoo. No problem for me.
