I've found this chest full of diamonds... Clearly cheating. A person that earned the diamonds would've hidden them... But the chest was in a public entrance of a mine.
So what I decided to do was to make diamond blocks (I did NOT take ANY of the diamonds for myself!) and hide them around the map where random people could discover them. But there was this stalker admin who dug up my first treasure... It wasn't enough for him. I tried running away. I tried digging myself into the ground... Then I got kicked.
When I re-entered I asked him why I was kicked. He asked me a question: was it me who exploited? I said it was not me (and I did NOT lie!). I re-explained what I wanted to do with the diamonds I've found in the chest. Then I got banned.
What a nice welcome to the server... :sleep.gif:
NOTE: This thread isn't to whine about being banned. What I am trying to say is that the admin was chasing after diamonds and actually USING them, not putting them back (I saw him use a workbench to create diamond tools).
Then why do you go into a server and mess around with someone's diamonds?
Maybe he got them legit and worked so hard to find them, with a bunch of friends, exploring a lot and lot of caves. And you just go around, and hide them everywhere? I would have ban you.
Helping... no not really. You don't have a clue how they were aquired or who put them there. On my server I've banned quite a few people for going through other chests and looting them.

I would of banned you too...

A person that has worked on something that hard would leave a note and hide the loot, not put it somewhere clearly visible within 50 blocks from the default spawn.
Your lucky he just banned you i would have went on every server you had been on and hid all the items in your chest now if that person got those without cheating when he gets back on he will be very sad because you decided he was a hacker i hope you die in hell. /end rant
Then why didn't the admin ban me when I said I am going to hide the diamonds? Yes, maybe what I did wasn't right. But what the admin did was absolutely not right. He followed me, collected the loot I dropped for others and used it, then banned me for not giving him items.

I would not have banned you for it, because I believe stealing, hacked items or not, is part of the survival spirit of the game. If you want to keep your ****, hide it. It's not hard, and 99% of thieves are not going to check under every single floorboard. IMO the admin was an asshole.
i have discovered that if i use the compass then it changes directions while i am trying to use it!
not that helpful really because it depends on the way you face and you dont always face the same way lol
Admin wasn't exactly the nicest guy about it, but in no way shape or form were you in the right.
Taking a bunch of hacked or duped diamonds out of a chest and hiding the blocks all over the map doesn't fall anywhere near the category of helping the server....I don't even know where the hell it falls.
Obviously if an admin see's a new guy walking around putting diamond blocks everywhere, he'd be suspicious. If you did that on my server, I would have instantly banned you, then we could discuss it on the forums. On top of that, you decided to run away, instead of just talking to the admin o.O
It's not rocket science....next time just tell an admin or a mod, and let them handle it.
The diamond blocks were probably duplicated if you were playing on a server without item giving. If it doesn't have item giving, duplication is probably against the rules, and hence you got banned for not giving the admin the duplicated items.

So what you're saying is you're whining here about being banned? They need to really implement a rule on this forum that if you come here to whine it's an insta-ban. These posts are getting way to common.
The correct place to take a post about a server is to that servers admin (who have the ability to summon diamonds or anything they want directly) or that servers forum. This is the most inappropriate location possible.

The correct action would be, LEAVE IT ALONE - msg an admin and be about your business, instead of foolishly getting your hands all over the evidence.
Charming. Quite charming.

Also, aren't diamond blocks irreversible? I don't think you're able to turn them back into normal diamonds.
Lastly, even if they were cheating... so what?
