Hm. Seems you've updated a lot of things since the last time I checked. I may check this out again tonight, see how the GUI has changed, and how the plugin support is.
Keep up the good work, everyone loves constant updates ;p
It seems it is working fine for me :/, but if theres anything specific, let me know to i can try to immitate that, in order to find out the problem that is,
Unless it is not setup correctly, here is how (for all who dont know)
When you download hMod, you get a zip, within that zip, copy the contents of 'bin' to where VisualAdmin.exe is.
so the file list may look like the following:
Then under that textbox, make sure 'hey0 Mode (mod)' is checked,
Then MAKE SURE YOU SAVE :tongue.gif:
You may now also set any other settings you wish :wink.gif:
(C. Properties is somewhat of a 'server.properties' editor which can allow you to add extra text)
triple checked everything...it still gives me the same error. everything is as above.
I start, it asks me if I wish to define the admin.I define it, and the entire log is:
[VisualAdmin] Checking for updates..
[VisualAdmin] VisualAdmin Up to date
[VisualAdmin] Starting Server with parameters: /c java -Xms1024m -Xmx1024m -jar minecraft_server.jar nogui
uh...i think im having the same hmod problems... plugins do not work at all
EDIT: nvm! they work great! but plugins that give new commands dont let me use the commands. for hey0, i could just put my name in the groups.txt as a hey0 admin as well as a visual admin. could you make the group thing compatible with Hey0 groups? other than that little bit,

I had a signature here before, but I seem to have misplaced it..
@DXWarlock check your pm's :tongue.gif: (to help resolve this :wink.gif: )

Yeh it was suggested to me yesterday actually :tongue.gif:.
So it is added to the list in my head as to what to try to acheive, i seriosly need a todo list/page ahah, so many things to remember/keep track of! xD
But yeh, i'm working on alot of stuff atm, and hopefully i will have a fair amount of interaction between hmod management as well.
I have also thought about making an installer for hMod, similar to llamacraft/runecraft..., mainb priority is what is stated above atm...
Well first you need to setup hMod to work,
(read above posts)
I actually had this running earlier on today. ;p
You need to copy that plugin into the plugins folder (and i beleive you need a mixxit.properties file beside it)
Then you should be able to see a 'Plugins' menu on the main form, click that, add Mixxit and save.
You should now be able to run the server
I think that this is a very noble cause. This days people tend to forget to include decent manual, so you are forced to ask on forums over and over again how their program works, or you have to search through dozens of threads to find some simple answer.
I have tried VisualAdmin with llamacraft+runecraft+hmod and it seem to run fine. Though i found some obvious problems and had some trivial questions, so i had to search through 30 pages in different threads to find solutions :sleep.gif:
Changing colors for example. I can edit colors by adding lines in user.txt with hmod, but i had to search the forum to find a link for color codes. Adding permissions is also unintuitive - i had to add myself to whitelist, then to server operator list (or it kept asking to do this every time i start the server) and then again to users.txt when i installed hmod.
So it would've been nice if "user management" button in UI would allow quick editing for players colors, permissions(like summoning/crafting/using certain items) and supersede hmod (or any other mod for that matter) settings.
Second issue - editing kits requires you to use item codes, so again - i had to search for this. Would've been nice if you included a link to wiki at least, or actually added names (of items) instead of id's.
Last issue - using hMod commands doesn't reflect in logs/console, so you'll never know "who did what", in case you need to find a griefer.
Basically - this is a great GUI, but it lacks versatility of hMod and convenience of McAdmin. Though as long as it doesn't have backdoors - its probably the only convenient (and noob friendly) way to run a server.
Does VisualAdmin work with hMod when it's running with properties stored via MySQL? I tried to run it and it seems to have changed to a flatfile again.

My name is Ozymandias, king of kings: Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!
How the hell do I get my servers IP? I checked out the help, said to click server management and click auto-detect, except....no such button exists.
It should tell you once you start your server, then File -> Clipboard IP

VA Like to duplicate plugins......my plugin list is huge, and consists of the same ones over and over...
I have fixed this bug, a while ago, after being notified about it, The problem is just the adding to the listbox, as it wasnt getting cleared, so the plugin list 'should' be normal. due to you having to add the plugin anyhow.
(restarting VA fixes it aswell, as it keeps loading into an array/setting, what i fixed was nothing major to running a server)
I have also been asked to make more of a hey0 GUI, yes for management aswell,
Im happy to do so, but its alot of work, between assisgnments and studying, work, no sleep.
All in good time,
But yeh, i think i will, disable the server list (will finish it later, maybe v3), as it seems there is alot more stuff to do before an optional list.
I have also added a new 'disable commands' feature, which stops visual admin from processing any commands.
I also have had not enough time for an 'manual',
But by next week i should be free a bit more,
"2010-11-08 09:27:45 [INFO] drats666 issued server command: setwarp tower"
hmmm seems there is a breakdown in communication between heyos and visualadmin >.<

The syntax for it is /setwarp [name] [group]. I also added /listwarps. You have to be unrestricted or an admin to be able to set warp groups.
I did a bit of looking (quick) and found that, because VA doesnt have a /setwarp command.
I am also thinking that tomorrow i may have time to create a user rank GUI for hey0's mod (into VA)...
This is probably where you missed yeh? (i myself havent used hey0's mod that much...but i think i need to, as it's popular with va ;D)
Keep up the good work, everyone loves constant updates ;p
I hope everyone likes it haha
Working on v2 again, p.s. Might even look better aswell :tongue.gif:

no mods in my base minecraft jar. but I get stuck at the same part trying to launch hey0 OR plain
tried it with this line for hey0
..and I get the same exact problem
trying a bare bones..nothing added launch: (no hey checkbox or anything)
and both ways it just stops after the launching line.. listed below...no other messages
like trying the basic, no mods, no hey0 launch i get:
perhaps its the '/c' its adding to the launch line there?
Edit: oops! didn't read the big words saying NO BACK DOORS! XD epic server wrapper thingy!
