With MCadmin + Hey0's mod + Cuboid plugin + Llamacraft + Runecraft :$
Are you adding it right? like putting the jar file in the plugins folder for the server, then adding MineSecurity to the plugins line in your server.properties. It work on every OS that Minecraft works on

Maybe /pass would work as such:
/pass <old password> <new password>
Then the server asks you to log in again using the new password you just made. (you would be logged out after you changed your password)
Yeah. I guess I should stop being so lazy :SSSS:, I'll add it in now (it's thanksgiving weekend, after all!)
Just installed this plugin and found out that all my store-chests were empty when using it!
When I disabled it again everything was back though...
hey0 can't even modify chests - are you able to reproduce it? I tried and wasn't able to get the same outcome as you D:

Yeah. I guess I should stop being so lazy :SSSS:, I'll add it in now (it's Columbus day weekend, after all!)
I think that's what you meant? Not quite thanksgiving yet...

0.3.0:
[*:2u7imz41]Passwords can be changed with /pass <oldpass> <newpass> assuming you are authenticated
[*:2u7imz41]You can reset player's registrations by doing /reset <players>, ie /reset Hidendra bob alex - you can specify more than 1 player. Make sure your usergroup can use this command, too!
I'm kinda new to all this, but here's my question:
Once installed, I join my server. It says "Please register yourself with /register <password>" However, when I type /register it tells me unknown command. Did I miss something in the install instructions, or am I just doing it wrong?
the command /register will probably need to be added to the list of commands that can be used in groups.txt. The same with /login

I've done that already. I also tried opping myself via console to see if maybe it was the plugin itself blocking the command, but even then, it won't let me use the command. I can use /home /give and all that though.
Hmmm, I did a system restart (was working fine before), and now I've been unable to get my server to recognize /register as a command. Tried OP'ing, tried everything - even adding the commands to the lists available for all groups in groups.txt.
((Using 0.3)). I have even created a fresh server install, with no luck in a resolution.
Suggestions?
EDIT: In case it helps, Hey0 mod DOES recognize me as an admin (color of my name is that of an admin), as it should, so I would guess it has little to do with groups.txt or users.txt. I am getting the 'You need to register' messages when joining the server, etc - so the mod IS atleast 'working' in that sense. Also, even though I enabled /register and /login for all groups with Hey0 mod, those commands are not listed under /help. I don't remember, but I'm pretty sure they were listed when it was working. This being said - perhaps it's something related to the mod just not 'adding' the commands correctly? That, or the server just doesn't recognize them as legit commands?

Do you have a mod that's interfering? When you login, the mod adds the two commands (login/register) to your allowed list automatically while removing the rest.
Hmm, no - I have only Hey0's original mod (latest version), and Runecraft 2.2 installed. These same mods were installed the first time I used MineSecurity, and it worked fine. And Runecraft wouldn't have interfered with it, I would think, as it doesn't effect the chat commands available :smile.gif:

Also, you can now download it at http://griefcraft.com/dev/MineSecurity.jar (the old mc.rs2reborn.net a record may be removed soonish)

Well then my correction has been corrected.
the command /register will probably need to be added to the list of commands that can be used in groups.txt. The same with /login
Is online-mode in server.properties set to true?
