My server was recently griefed, and beforehand I made a backup of the server. How do I restore that backup? I'm hosting the server on a VPS (it's currently down) and I basically need to know the following things:
What the backed up world is called
How to view the files in a directory
How to rename files
This is all via SSH. Please respond quick, I'm not allowed to be on the computer for very long.
Not sure what the backed up world would be called. If the server is linux, use the command ls to list the contents of a directory and mv to rename a file or folder.

My backups are in /minecraft/hey0/backup and are tarballs.....
the command I use is: tar -zxvf ~/minecraft/hey0/backup/world-2010-10-20-00h00-full.tgz
and that filename is based on the file that I wish to use as the backup source.
Not sure what type of backup system you're using though.
that -zxvf is the devil if you're not careful, so BE CAREFUL!
