Most of those factions are going to get a "No." I was on TS with the owner earlier... so, a quick tip. :wink.gif:
1.) Factions should not be created on whim.
2.) These factions and their pros/cons/impacts must be well thought out.
3.) Don't recreate a faction with a different name.
4.) Have it well written out, so it's obvious you know what you're doing.
Btw, I'm your local probably-too-powerful nomad that runs around at random. I have diamond and steel armor and a bow. And since there's no spiders, and you can't get a bow, probably shouldn't mess with me. :biggrin.gif:

I'm thinking some sort of trading and crafting faction would be pretty cool. Something named like The Crafts and Tradesmen Alliance, which is a neutral group who carry goods from say one biome where the Empire lives which has lots of wood to another biome where say the the bandits live who don't have as much wood, but do have clay which the empire would be willing to trade. Of course the traders get a cut of both the wood and clay. They could also build small trading settlements in which they gather raw goods, and craft materials in which other groups could come peacefully and trade for. However I don't exactly know where the pvp would put this class. Kinda make it awkward when the trader's chests with massive amounts of resources get's raided. I don't exactly know what kind of impact this would have but to create a more balanced world, and also cut down on the time it takes the other alliances to build. I suppose it would also balance out the resource variation a little. I also suppose it could make the possibility of adding a new title to the other clans, like a resource manager, which could be a title right below duke for the Empire per example. I think it would add a little depth at the very least.
