Since Faction Control is winning in the Polls, there's a high percentage of us having PvP. Hopefully, it's "fixed" PvP, meaning there're only certain places where we can fight against other people, like for example, there's a small territory each Nation wants. Both nations send troops to take that territory and whoever wins the battle takes control of that territory. Something sorta like that.I also like having mobs, as it gives a little challenge and incentive on the server than just seeing who builds the biggest town first, or who gets the most Diamonds in the server first.
BTW, is the server completely down, or is there a new IP for this new random, generated server that I just didn't know about?

IMO, I think mobs should be able to kill inside towns. It's the mayor's fault for not building the Great Wall of China around his town. But yeah, there should be rules on how mobs should react. I just don't have an idea on how though.
I agree with KebobDaBob; mobs should be implemented and should be able to attack in towns. After all, isn't that what walls, torches and grouping together is for: defenses?
Also, pvp in disputed, unowned, "frontier" zones is a nice idea, it keeps civility in towns but a more wild and untamed (for lack of better terms) in disputed, unclaimed land. Then again, this is all just the opinion from a n00b :tongue.gif:
How do mobs lag? Creepers blowing up around somewhere in the world? I haven't lagged whenever I have mobs in SP....although, I haven't seen mobs on SMP in action, so I don't know if they actually lag badly. If they don't for most people in the server, but you're lagging, then it could be just your connection. Hopefully, mobs don't lag-a-lot since I don't want to just make towns in the server. I wanna DESTROY MOBS!!!
Pingpong the hackers were Popdosprite and Ezrider they both had illegal blocks like tnt, bedrock, and sponges but they were both ip banned from toast so no worries =D

I believe Animals AND Mobs alike should be able to roam anywhere...during their respecting spawning times of course. (That means, no insta-mob spawn at the mornin' :Sheep:)

Exactly my point. I'm just saying this because of the fact that everybody needs to get their wits together because they might not know that there's actually Mobs online and join towns and survive from there (except Nomads...lol.) If not, then hopefully no Creepers accidentally destroy everything that was made from that past couple of days.

I think that the whole idea of changing night into day just because the players disliked the night is rather silly, let alone using that power to prevent bad mobs.
If we're gonna implement animal mobs, then I say "Let there be creepers!" And then I say in more of a mumbling way: "And spiders and skeletons and slimes, I guess..."
While I am not particularly fond of bad mobs, myself, I DO think that if we're gonna have PvP action, then a little PvM action would not be a bad idea, either. Plus, the towns would look a bit more complete if there were anti-mob defenses around it.
Oh, and a personal request: please don't destroy other people's buildings. It's Player versus PLAYER, not Player versus Buildings. Although, the last time I saw it, you at least couldn't destroy the buildings of people from other towns, so maybe this request is moot, any way.
PvP definetly needs to be in a contained spot hate for people with valuable stuff to get killed =O If PvP works in towns then griefers will kill people to rob chests
