Is griefing going to be a problem for guests? I have a pretty nice build under way which isn't that great now but in the next few days is gonna end up pretty awesome, i'm just worried about whether other guests might destroy it, I put down signs to mark my property, think that will be enough?
just wanted to say, awesome server. it is the first i have seen that combines friendly mods with unlimited building. i may be interested in joining whitelist, although building things isnt my forte. the biggest thing ive built anywhere was a 63x63x63 cube made of different layers of bricks. nice server guys! :happy.gif:

The only free things in life are the free things. everything else costs money.
A penny saved is a penny earned...so? $0.01 is still a penny, not worth much.
If you arent whitelisted i would not recommend building BIG buildings that takes along time cos they just reset the guest area wich is fine just wish they warned us about it before me and my friend spent around 40+ man hours just to see it get wiped of the earth before its finished... I allmost cried when i logged in to continue work and saw it was all gone :sad.gif:
A couple of things to know about the server currently:
1.) The map is a few-day old reset, for use with testing this update.
2.) The server is experiencing MAJOR issues, like monsters not wanting to die & take damage properly making them hard to kill, massive server & chat lag, mods not working, death & loading bugs, chunks not loading properly, a loony sun that goes up & down (as of my last log-out), Time-Outs galore, & invisible monsters if you have your game set to "Peaceful".
My suggestion: Stay off the server, or don't put stress on it, because it's on the brink of unplayability at the moment (it IS unplayable to me, but I have harsher criteria than most). Hopefull, Notch will get some of the bugs fixed soon, and Ridge & Peter will be able to get the mods working again & the server back to a playable condition.
If you DO play on the server, tread lightly & try to stay in a safe area (which the spawn is not). The monsters are murderous, and can easily destroy you seeing as how they are hard to hit, spawn a lot, and aren't effected by lag as much as you are.

here's a nice Time-lapse of Featherblade, DivineRage and plusnine forgoing fancy build tools in favor of building a foundry addition the RedCorp dam completely by hand:
So, I have a few questions. I've tried downloading the Voxel Box Texture pack a couple of times now and I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong. At best the pack doesn't work, at worst Minecraft starts up and the immediately crashes. I've tried putting it in both the Texture Pack folder and the Minecraft folder so... yeah, if someone could help with that I would appreciate it greatly.
Also I was wondering what mods and tools are available to us lowly members so that I might create to my fullest potential...
Thanks! You guys are doing a great job and make Minecraft super special awesome!

you need to extract the files from the texture pack and put them into a new zip file. then into the texture pack folder in your MC location.
currently, whitelisted members have the same tools as a guest, the only difference is that they can build anywhere on the map. and they can use button/levers in the non-guest zones.
@Dante: What happened??
